I know SLP makes a single solenoid kit...but is it good enough? Is it good enough for a 1khp car? Longevity? My friend that has a twin-turbo Shelby has the SLP kit and he said it gives him problems..

I've been told to buy a dual-solenoid setup..but hell..other than the 375+ moroso kit..there is nothing.

I feel like I could piece something together for under 200 using these:

I saw this kit, but evidently it wont work because it's not metric:

Has anyone pieced together a dual setup? I tried searching on the forum and couldn't find anyone that did it.

I have an 05 GT, so I'm almost positive I have abs.

Never had a issue with my slp. The 05-07 kit is a little harder to install. I used a right angle drill adapter and had to cut down a few bits.

not that I've used it a lot, but my car has the SLP kit

my vert had the old PMP kit - 2 solenoids

I never saw a difference. There were concerns early in s197 production that a single kit would mess with the ABS... never saw that play out

hell, if no one is having problems with the single SLP kit..I might just get it. You've been using it for 7 yrs? Sounds good enough to me.

AM is selling it for 162 shipped. Sweet deal.

What does horsepower have to do with a linelock, if the front tires are locked the front tires are locked, right?

More stress/strain on the brake system? I was thinking more about the quality of the lines than the solenoids...but maybe you're right, that may be irrelevant.

nothing to do with hp at all. the car is stopped. the brakes applied. the solenoid keeps brake pressure applied to the front while the back is free to turn. weeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

I can't wait to recommend a 500hp linelock to some new cat on here.

Then I'll tell them they can get away with a 350hp line lock if they are on a budget.
