Since everything else has been covered. Just curious why you linked us all to allfordmustangs 3 times?

I dont understand. I didnt link anything. I posted on allfordmustangs as well to get more response. Are you saying they are pointed at each other?

I'm not sure if it's just my computer or what. But in your 1st post there are 3 links to AFM.

My opinion is dont go into FI unless you can really afford the true cost of forced injection. That means the potential cost of a blown engine, tranny work, suspension work etc.... Its always way more than just the cost of the unit.

With that said, I love how my car felt after my jlt cai and brenspeed tune. Then the 4.10 gears, oh hell yeah!!! Now I am going with headers for my next step.

Your list sounds great...............go for it!!

patrick

There is nothing wrong with going FI on a stock motor if you get the right tune and don't over do it boostwise (say nothing over 450 rwhp, so that's about 8 -10 psi).

It is all in the tune--be damn sure you're at least 11:1 on the AF at WOT and make damn sure you have the fuel capacity when you need it (injectors, fuel pumps, BAP, etc.).

I would recommend doing a twinscrew SC when you go FI, such as Kenne Bell, Saleen, or Whipple. JMHO of course.

My :2cents: and HTH.

intake, tune, gears, cmdps, lt's, x pipe, lca's, relocation brackets, uca. all of that is less than $2k and will be lots of fun. buy some dr's and you have low-mid 12 sec car.

What about the turbo kit from ON3 Performance on ebay? Anyone hear anything about it or not? Im thinking I may try it but I dont wanna be the guinea pig lol. That would allow me to get some suspension also and wouldnt worry about gears and such at that point.or I could just buy that kit and save the rest in case something fails. Comments?

So you got gears after your intake/tune? How big was the difference adding gears after you got used to the intake /tune performance?
Car felt awesome. I wanted to feel the difference that each mod gave the car. Car is way more torquey and fun to drive. Doesn't make it faster per say, but feels much better.

My previous point too. FI is awesome but the true end cost is more than the actual unit......ie don't go in blind, do it informed.:2cents:

Elaborate please.

patrick

Did my research, I first lowered it with Eibach Pro and added Pypes polished ss Ab's. Then I said screw it (literally) and did the E-force and dyno tuned it. I had prior thoughts of 4:10's but I'm glad I didn't, I went with the original plan. Actually stock 3:31's work great for me. I'm not shifting every 3 seconds and she pulls like train.

another +1. Its not fun having your car sit in a shop waiting for you to get money to replace the engine.:deadhorse:

Tell me about it 7 months waiting on longblock build , then 3 weeks later broke a valve and had it down for another 3-4 waiting on top end rebuild and valves to come back in stock ( national backorder ) . Don't forget the new clutch/flywheel or flexplate you will need if you go 8 bolt !

After looking at the on3 performance kit, I don't think it's that great of a deal. You get what you pay for. Unless you fork out extra $ you get a cheap ass e-bay turbo, bov, etc. For real name brands their prices start to go up pretty quickly.

As for the procharger, by far the best thing I have ever done. Love the performance and sound. Always puts a smile on my face.
