You don't need to install the lockout harness, which is just a pigtail that you can connect if you want the car to go into reverse a little easier. It's fine without it, so I didn't do it on mine.

I have the part number of the pigtail somewhere, I just installed a switch I turn on when I parking the car.

I didn't hook it up. It's a little harder to get in reverse but not a big deal. I did weather proof the connector in case I change my mind.

Mine fits fine, but it's sized for a GT500. I suggest you install the driveshaft, and make sure you have at least an inch of play in the splines.

Hey Bruce, what bolt did you use here for the swap? Doing the same swap coming up and I have the shifter pins, but was unsure on the bolt to the arm to the trans. :thumb2:

Thanks

Sorry, don't know. I'm pretty sure it came with the shifter. Probably a M8x1.xx

I ran w/o the lockout for 2 years... just took a little more effor to get into reverse.

Then I installed the MGW GT500 shifter and couldn't shift into reverse. For whatever reason, I needed to have the lockout engage. It was pretty simple to do and to be honest, is much nicer shifting into reverse with it.

I have an MGW coming next week. Looks like I need to hook up the reverse soleniod. Do you remember what wires it gets hooked into?

Is it WPT-494? It looks like a standard delphi weather pack connector.

Bruce, nice job bro! What's it cost to do this swap? I guess a take off trans would be the best priced unit.

I paid a good deal more than this but here is where mine came from.

http://www.lapointauto.com/ Do the search and it comes up at $1600 before shipping

The rest of the parts are available from horsepower1 on ebay. figure about $150 for the crossmember, shifter, and boot. If you already have a 26 spline clutch then you are all set.
