Still a ricer with very little torque. Funny how ricers talk about horsepower and when I bring up torque numbers around here they all shut up. I'll keep my American V8 with pride. Another jelly bean that looks like the altima or is that maxima, oh well, they are all the same. I'll take the Camaro any day over that, shit I'll take an '06 GTO first.
People like you make us mustang drivers look bad.
HP = TQ*RPM/5252
HP is a calculated value based on the TQ. The are directly related to each other. Higher TQ than HP normally means a lower rated engine speed, which does not give you an advantage in racing. The TQ values do not mean as much as looking at the engine speed for that torque rating.

Ignorance. Proud american driving a car composed of foreign parts, built by a company that can't wait to move more production over seas. I work for a JV that has ties to Ford. I know that domestic means less than it used to. Drive the car because it is fast, fun, and affordable. Don't try to pull that "only buy American" BS, because it doesn't work the way it used to in the 50's.

When I buy Ford, Chevy, or Dodge, the parent company makes money.....in America. Toyota, Nissan, and the rest of that crap has earnings going back to japan. If it makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside thinking the way you do, then good for you. I stand behind what I said. My car was built in Michigan with very few overseas parts, maybe the radio and a few insignificant items. If you defend jap crap so much you should be on one of those rice sites braging it up.

YEAH! That's the kind of elitist, non-sensical attitude that we've grown to love in this country!

There's nothing like smack-talking a product because it was built by dem funny talk'n folks across da sea... Adolf would be very proud of your sense of nationalism.

I could care less if "I" make "Mustang" drivers look bad. Obviously you didn't read carefully what I typed. I said I could care less if the car is slightly faster (due to higher redline) and lighter than my stock Mustang, I like the torque of an American V8. There is no question that the V8 feels different due to more torque even though it weighs more.

Then again, we Mustang owners (even me, the "bad" ones) aren't on here to talk stock, are we?

I didn't mean to hurt your sensitive feelings since you own jap.:roflmao: I unfortunately use to own a toyota also and speak with experience, japanese has nothing to brag about. My present work beater is a nissan sentra that I bought from a salvage yard. Would never buy a new one again. Whatever makes you feel better with the childish "Adolf" namecalling, go ahead since you feel better.

How cute... you assume I can be offended. That's adorable!

I find your allegiance to domestics humorous because it appears to be an almost a blind religious following, rather than a logical analysis of economic value. It's an obvious display of emotion, which is why you project that all buyers (myself include) have any emotional attachment to their purchasing habits. No, my ignorant little friend, I'm merely poking fun of your ignorance.

Here's the way you might want to look it the situation. You're the one plunking down hard earned cash for a vehicle. Why should you care whether the company's brand is associated with an American, German, Japanese, or Italian culture? The folks that made/sold you the car aren't the ones driving it, maintaining it, or paying for it... Why passionately follow domestics? Do you own an American TV, American computer (or laptop), American clothing, etc...? I sure don't! I have Persian carpets, Swiss watches, Italian clothing, etc... Don't let some absurd union rhetoric tell you how to spend your money. It's a free country, right?

Ford, GM, and Chrysler aren't helping me purchase my vehicles, I just happened to buy 4 Fords because I like my V8s (especially the ones with boost). My 2007 Tundra CrewMax is my daily beater. It gets me to work and back through rain, ice, sleet, and hail. I could trade it tomorrow for a Dodge, Chevy, or Ford without batting an eye or shedding a tear...

FYI - Nationalism has hisorically been used as a tool to gain control of a population for various agendas (not all good in nature). Thus, the Adolf reference.

Typically, the environment for control begins with economic hardship, which makes a large population vulnerable. Example: Germany circa late 1930s...

:stfu:
I started my post's with comments on the car and my opinion about them. YOU decided to make this a personal attack and I tried to keep this out of the personal arena.

I do passionately follow domestics because it helps employ Americans and I like the quality and safety with most American products. And yes I do curve my purchases based on "made in" tags. Some things I can't help, but that is very few. Your right, the people that make vehicles aren't the ones driving them, I am, thats why I decide what I buy to drive. You are also correct, it is a FREE Country AND freedom of speech. Thus is why I support my Country in every way I can for affording me all these great freedoms and opportunity. If you don't think American products matter, keep buying the new jap cars, persian rugs and see what happens to the American economy.

I post my opinion about a vehicle and that I am proud of what I drive and from this you divise that I am "ignorant"? From this little information you make a judgement that I am ignorant. Ignorance is based on lack of knowledge about facts, I gave my OPINION. Now, who is ignorant?

Rice sites? Jap crap. First of all, oh ignorant one, Nissan earnings don't even go back to Japan. The Japanese get a very small portion. Nissan is owned by Renault in France. So get your facts straight before ranting like a buffoon.
Second, a few insignificant items is more like half the car. Block castings and misc pieces of the engine are outsourced to foundries in cheaper countries. Almost every control system in the car will have an Asian origin. Most of the car, even the tires, come from from foreign countries. Even many of Ford's investors come from other countries. You have no idea what you are talking about.

We are talking stock in this thread. We are allowed, since it is a non-tech talk area. What does it matter, your car is stock compared to most of the people that race on this forum.

You are still ignorant for thinking that someone buying a Nissan or Toyota is not helping to employ americans. These companies have several plants in the usa, as well as research and development sites. All the major car companies are equally important to our countries economy and its people. They employ thousands of americans, just like the big three. You are also ignorant for labeling a car as rice crap just because it has Nissan in the name. Remember, it has taken ford years to catch up to the quality of the japanese competitors. They are now pretty equal, but japanese brand name cars are not really built in japan anymore.

thats ugly
Yeah, the new lights are too weird. I didn't mind the 350Z with some decent wheels. I am in too much of a muscle car mood now a days. As soon as I turned 25, I started drooling over anything with a V8 made before 1980.
