How cute... you assume I can be offended. That's adorable!
I find your allegiance to domestics humorous because it appears to be an almost a blind religious following, rather than a logical analysis of economic value. It's an obvious display of emotion, which is why you project that all buyers (myself include) have any emotional attachment to their purchasing habits. No, my ignorant little friend, I'm merely poking fun of your ignorance.
Here's the way you might want to look it the situation. You're the one plunking down hard earned cash for a vehicle. Why should you care whether the company's brand is associated with an American, German, Japanese, or Italian culture? The folks that made/sold you the car aren't the ones driving it, maintaining it, or paying for it... Why passionately follow domestics? Do you own an American TV, American computer (or laptop), American clothing, etc...? I sure don't! I have Persian carpets, Swiss watches, Italian clothing, etc... Don't let some absurd union rhetoric tell you how to spend your money. It's a free country, right?
Ford, GM, and Chrysler aren't helping me purchase my vehicles, I just happened to buy 4 Fords because I like my V8s (especially the ones with boost). My 2007 Tundra CrewMax is my daily beater. It gets me to work and back through rain, ice, sleet, and hail. I could trade it tomorrow for a Dodge, Chevy, or Ford without batting an eye or shedding a tear...
