hey guys,

well in the past few years several companies have been offering shifters that seem to be a little too close for comfort to our design so i decided this winter to spend some time with our 2005-2010 shifter and make some tweaks and improvements.

This is in my opinion the ultimate shifter for the s197.

key design improvements>>>>

- new stainless front support arm tunnel is now filled with butyl rubber core for higher dampening coming from the trans. also 30 percent stiffer than the previous design and 80 percent more torsional rigidity.

- new rear GOLD bracket with "street" and "track" durometer bushing inserts make the shifter even quieter and more precise.

- linkage geometry tweaked for even smoother shifts while still possessing our PATENTED adjustable throw feature. shifts from 10-50 percent shorter possible!!!

here is a pic....

NOTE: even though the webpage is not yet updated , ALL shifters in stock are the new design!!!!!

regards
george

Since I have a 13 GT with a shifter that was installed in December of 12 should I be looking to upgrade? or is there enough difference to justify the change?
Just wondering..

When I was a stick car I had your Gen2 shifter and absolutely loved it. Couldn't imagine it being any better.

Just goes to show that the good companies keep trying to improve!

Keep up the great work!

For the '12 model, how hard is it to get into reverse with the new design shifter?

Push down and slide over. I thought it was much easier than the pos stock shifter.

Well I understand that, but there are theories that some shifters (Barton for instance), people have a hard time getting it into reverse

I didnt like the Barton, thats why i went with the MGW. I had the chance to drive 2 cars, one had a Barton and one a MGW. After driving both i knew which shifter i wanted. I ordered the MGW the same day.
