2005 GT with 31k miles (I've only owned it since 25k). Still has the 3650 in it, and I installed the latest MGW set at 5 turns and filled with Amsoil MTF synchromesh within days of buying the car. Since installing the MGW and the Amsoil, the shifts have always been perfect. Never had a grind whether it was normal street driving or going WOT.
After installing the WotBox, the 2-3 upshift immediately started to grind using the no-lift-shift, which seems to be the exact opposite of what everyone else has experienced. Tonight it started to grind 2-3 during normal street driving also, unless I babied it slowly into gear. I have approximately 200 miles on it since the WotBox install. I did the test of sitting still at idle and trying to push it into gear and sure enough, 3rd had the grind.
Am I thinking right that the 3rd gear synchro is probably shot? Anybody else had the WotBox make these issues show themselves? Seems like everyone talks about how much smoother and easier it is on the transmission but that doesn't seem to be what happened... maybe I just needed more experience?
