3V valve seal install - protection

I'm assembling my heads

Back in the day I always had a plastic cap to put over the stem to protect the seal as I pushed it over the valve stem.

My new seals do not come with such an item - should I try... foil? Saran wrap? I don't know, kind of a custom size condom to come up with. Condom?

That might work! I'll shrink it down and shrink the end to a taper. Thanks.

No shit, you solved a riddle for me.
I found a plastic tube jammed under the valve seal on some heads I had ported awhile back.
Could not figure out how the hell it got under there.
Now I know.lol
