Man with prices these days on mustang parts. In a span of around 1 month , I picked up a procharger for around 3k . All the accessories like boost gauge/wideband gauge w/ roush vent pods for more than 50 % off and practically brand new. Just check this forum at least once a day and you'll be set.

Also somebody can imbed it, I'm on my phone and don't feel like searching YouTube

Bad ass man.. like I told you before, I love your car.

Good choice man. My car is almost paid for. Really close now and I've thought about trading in a bunch of times. The closer it gets, the closer I am to a full build with blower for less than the price of a brand new car. I love my car too much to trade for a 5.0 right now. A used 2007 gt500 on the other hand is pretty tempting haha

paid for vs payments and more debt

I'll take paid for...
Debt Free for the past 3 years. It's really a good feeling.

and OP... don't do a blower! TURBO!!!!

Yep, having no debt is nice. I have been living with minimal debt on and off for years. It is a freedom for certain. Glad you guys see it from my perspective. I'm not rich but very conscience about my spending. When in reality you can have a lot with a little if you do things right.

+1 this is true, there have been so many good deals on s/c set-ups on the forums over the last few weeks it's crazy..

As far as turbo.. yes I would love to go turbo, but it's would cost me quite a bit more to do. Unless anyone knows of a kit for 4k that is better than a comparable s/c kit.

If you do go SC, are you going to go with a non-ic kit? You can get those new for under 4k and when the time is right, add on a ic.

Its more like should I boost my 06 or get a 5.4! You can keep the better bodystyle, pay less money and have more horsepower. Looked at a 07 shelby the otherday in mint condition with 11,000 miles making around 525 rwhp for 35,900. If I upgrade this is the route I'm going.

The cheapest combo is a non-intercooled Vortech/Paxton with a basic meth injection kit. I really don't have much $$ into my car and it runs pretty good with this setup.
Just dropped pulley sizes on the blower and re-tuned, too. :D No new times yet.

That's what I did with my '07 GT automatic. I went with the Vortech V2 (non-intercooled) S-Trim. $3700 for the whole kit (with tuner, bigger injectors, 2nd fuel pump, etc.). Car went a best of 11.79 @ 114 in the 1/4 mile. I never got around to adding meth or an intercooler, but know that would have allowed for much more power.

I see though, you upgraded to the Coyote. Why the upgrade if you were happy with the power of the SC? If I had cash laying around, I would go the Coyote route but I only owe 7k right now on my SGT and picking up a 13 would tack on another 13-15k to that loan amount.

What if the 5.0 is paid for? LOL

Then you're doing better than me, but for me that wouldn't be the case for a 2-3 years.

A turbo kit for 4k, have you been living under a rock? Here is a turbo kit for 3.5K with basically all the supporting mods and a billet wheel turbo standard.

Kind of. lol I just didn't pay attention to it, because I see turbo it usually results in 6k. that is a good deal and worth looking into for sure. Thanks for the heads up

I have driven a 5.0, impressive car, but it didn't make me fall in love and want to sign the dotted line. - If I bought a 5.0 I wouldn't be able to afford to put a blower on it for 4-5 years.
not worth the wait to me.

That too is a very viable option. I've looked into shelby's and the right deal may change my mind, but I haven't found that deal near me.

^ Nice looking car still a little more than I want to pay. It is a good deal though

I talked to a dyno guy and he was kind of giving me hell for wanting to do it on stock internals.. so now I'm kind of scared to do it.. wtf.

-- Maybe I should just look for a terminator..:deadhorse2:

This is stupid.. lol Everytime I decide something, I read or talk to someone that tells me it's the wrong decision.. ugh.
