People, don't post up rumors that you hear. If your modding your motor your taking some risk! It could blow just from taking it to the track or driving around town with no tune! If your worried about it, go buy a Prius! There is so much more in a tune and how it works than 99.9% of the people on this thread know. I tuned my own car and a few others and there is still a lot of stuff I need to learn. I use BBR tunes on a lot of my customers mustangs and they run great and have never had a problem. If they say the tunes is fine, it's fine. The guys at BBR are great and know there shit!

Awesome, thanks for your help. I did load the 93 tune and it is running great. really happy with it. throttle is a bit touchy but i'll get used to it, it's just like my '07 was. I was figuring with my elevation even if it was an aggressive 93 tune i'd be alright, but with the #8 issues I was a bit concerned. took it for a drive this weekend in the mountains, got up to 7300' and it was still running great... my 07 felt sluggish at that elevaiton.

Nice! Glad your liking it bro!! Enjoy

I only use Toluene now. One gallon toluene + 4oz MMO = panther piss. Add 2 gallons to a tankful of gas gives you ~95 octane.

Add it to a half a tank and you're probably around 97 to 98.

I only add it to my 93 tune when I race, just for insurance.

Shew last time I bought toluene for a turbo car, it was 24 dollars a gallon at my sherwin williams. We have race gas at the pumps down here, 5.50ish for 100 unleaded and 6.25 for 110 leaded. I just roll down to the 100 and pump 25 and i'm good to go for the track day.

Chris Jones did was tune it for 91 but titled it 93. We checked this morning. Your g2g buddy:beer:

Why would he do that? So would it be safe to say someone orders a "93 aggressive" tune from you guys, they'll get a "91 conservative" tune instead, just labeled differently? lol :wtf1:

Buckley Oil Company here in Dallas. $8 per gallon, and I get 2 five gallon cans each time I go. Yes it is very expensive if you go to a paint store and buy it by the gallon!

100 unleaded will work just as good too.

Solution to the problem is to run e85. I paid 3.02 a gallon here this evening. Equiv. to 105 octane gas. Works great.

First tune got from BBR was great. Made great power, driveablity was great etc. Second tune had some idling issues. Car would idle real high 900-1000 then fall all way to 200 or so RPMS. then level out at 650-700. Then take off back yup to 900-1000 rpms then drop all way down to 200. Would do this over and over. Put a new tune in from a friend that has did s few tunes and everything was perfect. Car also made more power on the dyno with same two tunes and same day.

We then took and just did a dyno tune that is actually very aggressive.

Have a few witness of this also to the BBR tune crazy idling also.

Just spoke with my tuner yesterday afternoon and he mentioned to me he has a customer's 2008 Cobra KR with a blown engine. The customer is claiming a BBR tune was the culprit; said he loaded the tune and the motor went the same day. Ibet BBR has already heard about it.

That will be a expensive repair for sure.

I run E85 as well, and I love it.. however I have HEARD (not sure if its a possiblity or not) that over time the E85 will possibly damage the plastic parts in the fuel pump? If I knew I wouldnt have any problems over time w/ running the corn allday everyday I would, Im just not sure running it 100% all the time is a good idea.... yet.

Sometimes when he is writing his tunes, a simple title change is missed but when we look up what was done, everything was G2G.

Just a rumor to me. I would surmise if it's true you would have heard from the owner pretty quick. I'll ask for details tomorrow at my dyno session.

I had some weird surging idling yesterday evening when it was first warming up, after that was fine. so far it's only happened the 1x. My last tune did something similiar, giving it a little gas on startup helped. If it becomes a common occurence i'll get in touch with BBR. I wonder if it has something to do with cam position when you shut down the engine?

Have you tried a different brand of gasoline? A simple easy thing to try.

I know it isn't supposed to make a difference. My old honda civic would surge at idle bad until it eventually just stalled out. I changed to conoco fuel and that problem immediately went away. Coincidence? Maybe.

Pump should be fine.
