That's what I'm figuring. I have a spare radio surround with climate controls that I'm gonna try first.

What is making no sense is that you stated the Ford had to Recharge the system and then they said there might be an electrical issue. Sounds like they are fishing. Installing a set of gauges will tell if the pressures are low. With the Computer they have they can command the AC on even if it is low on freon. If that is what they did then you have a leak that needs to be repaired.

I'm gonna get it dyed this weekend, the other switch didn't help. And they said even after refilling it wouldn't come on

A/C systems in this car are very simple and everything minus the evaporator is in the open. I don't see why they are having such a hard time figuring it out.

So I took the car to ford. They recharged the system and said they were able to get the compressor to come on with a computer hooked up to it. They tried blaming my tune first. After that they said it was a bad ground and that I would probably have to get a new ecu and sjb. Any thoughts?

Take the ac connector off and clean it and the one on the pump with some spray cleaner. It's located in an area that gets constant airflow because of the belt routing.

I've had to change the connector once and it seems to need cleaning about once every couple of years.

Which connector ? The one into the compressor itself? Besides that and the low pressure switch, are there any more?

Sounds like they are throwing parts/money at it hoping to fix it. Some shops have mechanics, most just have parts changers.

This. They have no clue and are doing the shotgun approach.

I feel your pain. I threw a grand at my minivan (acceleration hesitation) at dealer suggested fixes (cleaned injectors, EGR, new EGR solenoid, removed, drained cleaned gas tank) and it turned out to be a $48.00 TPS that I fixed MYSELF after the $tealer failed me.

I would check and clean all grounds myself and replace all relays ( and fuses) before I bought a new PCM or SJB. If it needs a new SJB I would DIY and get one from a junkyard before paying big $$$ to the $tealer.

Edit: my last intermittent A/C problem was a bad $15.00 compressor relay.

So it turns out the pcm isn't sending the signal and needs to be replaced. Anyone have any links to a pcm for an 08 manual gt ?

You could just wire a switch directly to the compressor wire. I'm hoping that the dealer checked the things that enable the signal.

I could, but I don't want to rig it. The car is 5 years old. I want it to work how it should.

I think the signal comes from the sjb. I know there is a fuse for it in there. I blew that fuse when I was troubleshooting mine by jumping connections. It took a little while to figure it out since I had checked the fuse prior to troubleshooting and it was good.

It's on the wiring diagram I linked earlier.

Yeah, I checked everything. It's definitely a dead ground in the computer
