Thanks Don. I put my MT's at 12.5 (I usally set them at 11.5) before the burnout and it made a big difference. I dropped mph because I was hooking so well out the gate but the ET was great and I was really pleased.

Very consistent last night with 4 passes:

6.58 @ 102
6.57 @ 102
6.58 @ 102
6.59 @ 105

On the last pass, I forgot to adjust my psi and spun out of the hole and netted a 1.52 60'. All of my other passes were either a 1.47 or 1.46 60'. That's why I netted the higher mph. That run was awesome cause this vega with a big bottle was calling me out and talking crap. He had his wife sweep the box and line up for a few minutes and did a huge purge at the line and was showing off for the crowd. This was the pass I spun off the line so he jumped me from the tree but by half track I flew by him and the crowd went crazy. It was awesome. Tony got it on video so when he sends me a link I'll post it up.

That sucks!

My wot is great but I definitely need a new tune cause my car doesn't idle for crap. It will stall out at stop lights if I don't hold the gas down to 1000 rpm. It's idleing right now at about 300 rpm.

I don't think mine is a tune issue at all. I tried using the same tune I ran for the past year (which has gone 7.0 several times), and it wouldn't get out of the 7.30s even. I'll see if there is any improvement tonight at the Q... I have fresh plugs in and fresh fuel. If it still goes slow... I'll be stumped.

You have made suspension changes in your quest to end wheel hop. I would look there, honestly.

For example, the tokico D spec's in the rear added .08 -.10 to my ET and .05-.08 to my 60' This is a fact. I tried every setting and when I put the stock shocks back on, I immediately picked the numbers back up.

I still have the tokico's up front but I have watched video of my car and I am convinced my car left harder and slightly quicker on the stock struts.

The QA1's that Paul have work awesome. (evident by his 1.4's 60' on DR's) and under examination, they are very similiar to the stock set-up.

I think the weight, design, and driveline set-up of these cars make the right suspension as unique as everything else about these S197 styles.

I'm still working on it also, but I'm convinced the 'usual suspects' of suspension compnonents may not be the right combination for these cars.

I know a coil over set-up is the way to go and I'm still doing a little reasearch, but removing too much weight off the front end just may not be the best set-up on these cars. Specifically, with the exception of EXTREME power, these things are never going to achieve a 'drag the bumper' type lift. I am still testing, but I believe my 60' will get better if I run my stock tires back up front in place of the skinnies. I honestly believe that even though lighter, the skinnies are hurting my launch.

I'll keep you posted on the data I find.

I've considered the suspension, but it doesn't add up. All I did was add LCA relo brackets. The car leaves harder than ever (daylight under the left front tire). And I can't see how suspension would cost me 3-5mph on the top end.

p.s. I've never had wheel hop... ever. I added the relo brackets to reduce squat.

Sorry, I thought you had wheel hop before.

The big end, huh?

What upgrades do you have in your fuel system?

Do you know how to use your tuner to look at your Long term and Short term trims?

You have an SCT, right? I'm not quite sure how to get to it with the sct but hopefully it is as simple as the predator. It's a quick and easy way to find out if you have any fuel issues. There are two short term readings and two long term readings. Ideally, you want them to be in the + or no lower than -5. (They fluctuate as you drive)

It will tell you really quick if your problem is fuel related. Call adam and ask him how to do it with the sct. It's probably just as simple as the predator but I don't know.

Also, you said you were hooking great now. This doesn't explain the ET increase but I was suprised to discover as my my hook increased, my mph actually went down. When I turn a 1.5X 60' I run 104 mph and average 6.68. When I cut 1.4x 60's, I run 102 mph and average 6.58. On my worst 60' of the night (1.54) I turned a 105 mph trap.

Again, this doesn't asnwer your problem cause you shouldn't see an increase in the ET. My guess is it's fuel related. But what is weird is that you still had it when you went back to your old tune?? Spark or fuel should be the culprit I'd guess.

Mark, you can change your Idle to a higher RPM of your Tuner.

Mark I have a 2.6H Kenne Bell on my car and I would like to ( slap the shit out of Ken again) oops I mean get in the 10 sec bracket. I would be happy with high 10's because i still want my car to be a daily driver. Any advise that anyone has would be appreciated.

Hey Tony you got some new special rod design? I don't think you're gonna out run anyone with those rods! :thud:
