As the title says, I am about to be reunited with my car. Spent the last 6mths on deployment. I didn't really go crazy and buy that many things for the car. I did buy Magnum 500 replica wheels and Nitto tires and Bilstein shocks and struts. My God I can't wait to drive again.

Yeah I feel your pain x2. I spent a year in Korea with no car.

However life was much easier then a deployment.

I am going to drive my wife's Scion from 29 Palms back to San Diego, that way I will get used to driving again and the scion is lot less powerful car.

I get back from Iraq in January, but I am opposite of you. I already picked up a Saleen S/C from FASTMOVER and a bunch of other stuff to go along with it...

I miss my car something bad. I can't wait to get back in the seat!

Fuck that shit... I'll leave that to you. I did just fine with my 15 month, then my 12 month, once on advon.

I've done 12 months too, but it was actually closer to 13, and actual 12, then there were the pre 9/11 deployments, a 9 month, two 6 months and a 3 month.

I'll leave the 12+ mths deployment to the army guys. In Iraq, at least you have "nice bases" Where we were at in Iraq was a pure shit hole. To a degree we lived expeditionary. We pissed in piss tubes, shit in wag bags. No running water. It wasn't too bad. We had a small exchange that only 4 people were allowed in at a time. At least it always had a decent supply of supplements. Our chow hall would close every time a sandstorm would hit, which would be a few times per week.
