I'm seeing some weird behavior with the AC fan in my 05 GT.

A couple times over the last month when I had the AC set to MAX A/C, the fan wasn't blowing at all, no matter what fan speed I selected.
It started working again after I shut the car off and back on.

Another time it took a couple times shutting off and back on for it to work again.

Yesterday I couldn't get it to come back on, but when I moved the switch from MAX A/C to the Upper Vent, the fan started working. I then switched back to MAX A/C and it blew hard again.

Is this the one of the stupid motors in the dash or something else? Hopefully something else, those in-dash motors are a pain!

The problem could be the fan motor itself beginning to fail, the fan resistor, or water contamination of the SJB.
You'll definitely want to rule out the last one first because that could lead to other electrical gremlins.
If the front passenger carpet and underlay are bone dry, a water leak from the cowl or from the cowl cover retaining grommets under the windshield is pretty unlikely. You could then try replacing the fan resistor.

Thanks, I'll try the blower resistor.
Local store only has Echlin, that a decent brand?

Before throwing the parts cannon, we had an issue with our 2010 F150 where the blower motor wire was shorted for whatever reason. Repaired the wire and all was fine.
