So I'm overdue on my inspection after failing the test twice. Now that I have the correct tune from AM and the scanner to monitor my sensors, I think I'm about ready to pass it. Just a little confused at the readouts. Judging from these pics, will I pass emissions testing? (No sniff test, just obdII monitoring)

Based on what you are posting then Yes. As long as the test faciy does not use some crazy scanner that is more advanced than what you have.

I have a Generic Code Reader that can communicate with cars that a Top of the line Snap On Unit can't. Has to do with the way it connects to the vehicle through the data link connector.

What's confusing me is that the first pic says that 7 monitors are ok and 0 are incomplete. But then the last pic says that all are incomplete. I drove about 70 miles since I cleared the codes and have been doing highway and stop and go driving, so the drive cycle should be competed. Am I just reading this wrong?

Plus the second pic says that all supported monitors are ok...

You'll fail

First pic says 4 monitors N/A
Third pic shows 4 incomplete.

Not yet ready to pass but your almost there. So far you have 7 monitors that are good to go. Just need 4 more monitors. The 4 monitors that shows "inc" means incomplete. NJ allows you to have 1 not ready monitor so if you get 10 "Monitors ok" its good to pass.

Follow this to get the 3 main monitors
1.Comp Component CCM-Accelerate from 0 to 50 MPH and stop the car. Then go directly to step 2
2.Misfire-From a stop, accelerate to 65 MPH. Decelerate at closed throttle until 40 MPH (NO BRAKES!)Just let the engine brake and slow down to 40mph. Repeat this 3 times
3.Catalyst-
Drive in stop and go traffic conditions. Include five different constant cruise speeds, ranging from 25 to 45 MPH over a 10 minute period
**4.Fuel system- Should activate to ready once the catalyst monitor is ready.
Once you do all that, plug in the scanner again and check the monitors. Oh and do not clear the pcm.

So I take it the other monitors complete with key cycles (o2 monitor/o2 heater)?

You'll pass. The third pic is for that current drive cycle (last time the key was turned on). OBD inspections go off since DTC's cleared.

Aced it on the third time! Had to clear the DTCs first then go through the drive cycle. When the supported monitors were ready I went to the station and passed it no problem.

What does unsupported mean

Unsupported means that your car isn't equipped with those sensors. Just your supported mods have to be ready to pass emissions.

You will not pass in NJ without cats anymore. A few years back the rule was you can't have any "Not Ready" indicators. Unsupported was OK. Today, you need to have something like 5 ready indicators. Most tuning for no cats or high flow cats will only show 2-3 ready indicators. This does not meet the current standard in NY and NJ.

We have been receiving many calls over that last few years regarding this issue.

The solutions have been:

On 05-10 cars, high flow cats and non-foulers on the rear O2s will take care of business.

2011+ cars with widebands need Kooks "Green" cats but this is hit or miss. You can install non-foulers on the rear O2s with "Green" cats also but is not recommended to leave these installed permanently on wideband cars.

On wideband cars the rear O2 should not be "turned off." Instead, the sensors are manipulated so no codes are thrown. This does not mean the sensor will ready and pass ODDII emissions tests.

High flow kooks cats. I just reloaded emissions tune so we will see tonight.

I did the 0-50 pull, then 3 0-65 coast till 40 then stopped the car, working on the 25-45 stop and goe now.. will the sct show any dtc because i just check and none found

Does that mean they are turned off, i know not ready means the sensors havent gone through the drive cycle correct?
