Actual Oregon Inspection Laws?

Hey guys! As some of you know I'm making the move to Bend, OR soon. I'm interested in possibly doing engine/suspension/etc... mods and was curious if anyone was from the area and knew what inspections are really like there? I've heard that in Portland they can be a PITA but I'll be living in Bend or Redmond most likely. What can and can't we do to our cars out there? Thanks for any insight!

Just to clarify I have Googled this already and read up on what it's supposed to be like but I know that reality can be different from what websites say.

as far as i know, there is no required DEQ testing in Bend/Redmond. I get tested in Portland every two years and have no trouble passing with: whipple HO, hot rod cams and stock exhaust.

you will love Bend/Redmond, it is beautiful country.

Thanks hammeron! That's what I've read too. I just don't want to drop money on the wrong parts and screw myself cause it won't pass inspection with them on. When I lived in WA (many moons ago!) we didn't have JACK for inspection! That was pretty cool.

just keep your stock parts, incase you need to sell the car to someone who lives on the west side. if i were you, i would have long tubes with no cats. if you decide to go crazy and go with forced induction some day, there is a very good dyno tuner in vancouver, wa.

Sell?!? I wont say "never" but if this leaves my ownership it will be going back to my dad for sure! This is now a family vehicle!

I'm def leaning towards LTs and OR x or h now! Especially considering I just found a SICK deal on a highend setup (minus LTs). I'll post more for you guys tomorrow!
