Atco NMRA......

Looks like our Paul Revaltis (againstallodds) is doing pretty well after his recent engine troubles. He's on his way to the third round after a win in round one and a bye run in round two.

VaginoHoe is out in round two. Chris Parisi, the 2007 FFW U/S champ, is going to round three as is Don Justus, the three time FFW Top Truck champion. Paul Gamino from JDM is out after losing to Parisi in round two.

More to come soon.

Nope. Sitting on my ass watching the round coverage on NMRA's site. I do want to thank you for trying to help get me a car though. Just too many things going on at home and at work right now. I need to put the travel money towards getting the car finished.

After talking with the sponsors we decided not to rush anything. Going to take my time and get the car exactly the way I want. Next weekend......new rear end setup!

sorry to highjack but just read this over there too

Ever since BOTB / FFW announced it was closing its doors the NMRA has been overwhelmed with phone calls and e-mails from racers, fans and sponsors eager for an all-Ford Texas event. The NMRA Keystone Automotive Ford Nationals is currently in discussions with Houston Raceway Park to host a post-season NMRA Lone Star Shootout event the weekend of Nov. 13-15, 2009.

While not an official "points" event, the Lone Star Shootout would bring the NMRA to the great state of Texas, one of the top Mustang and Ford markets in the U.S. The Shootout would feature 4-time Super Street Outlaw champ John Urist taking on Strictly Performance owner and local hometown hero Richard Lelsz, and former world champ and legendary Texas racer Mike Murillo taking on New Mexico’s Pro Outlaw 10.5 superstar Dwayne James. The event would also host a combined EFI/Hot Street heads-up class, several Open Comp and Index-style classes, True Street, Fords vs. The World Bracket Racing, and a special Lone Star Shootout True Street Quick 16 class on Sunday. Of course every NMRA event features a huge manufacturers' midway, swap meet and a giant all-Ford auto show and shine.

"The NMRA has always been interested in extending the reach of its brand into Texas, one of the hottest Mustang markets in the country," said Charlie Harmon, President of ProMedia LLC. "The opportunity to showcase the NMRA Ford Nationals and its excitement to thousands of fans and new racers is very important and we are working diligently with Houston Raceway Park to make this a reality. Stay tuned for more NMRA Texas event information over the next few weeks."

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Back to the racing. Paul is out at the hands of Brent White (of Brenspeed if I'm not mistaken). He had a great .011 light but Brent was closer to the number. Parisi wins his round and Justus gets the bye run.

SD, I know Art Quinby (rench) is there--he place at all?

Out to Don Justus in round 2. Art ran a 12.57 on a 12.40 dial while Justus ran an 11.82 on an 11.80.

Sorry about that Art....didn't know you were the infamous "Rench".

According to the live timing weather station the corrected density altitude is -180 feet. Yeah....180 feet below sea level. woooohoooooo

It will be fine. Putting a different rear in the car. Narrowed housing, Moser axles & spool, 3.73 gear, 9" housing ends, and Aerospace brakes. Converter is going to be changed for a bit more stall speed. Also going with different brakes up front and the whole tubular route for the front end stuff.

Time and money..............

In the last ten minutes I've had four text messages telling me to put a stock engine in the car without the turbos and go race for points until the new shortblock arrives. That would essentially be for the NMCA Reading, PA race and the NMRA Milan, MI race. Then take it out and put the stroker in with the turbos.

What a bitch. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Chris Parisi wins NMRA Atco!!! Don Justus is the runner-up. The FFW invasion has begun!!!

Parisi was .087 on the tree and runs 15.278 on a 15.27. Justus goes .083 on the tree and breaks out with an 11.745 on an 11.80 dial.

I show up with a rental car they start shooting at me.

One problem with the stock engine idea. I don't have an H or X pipe. Need a cold air kit too. Damn it.

Oh, Pu - leeeeze - Is that all that keeping you? You starting to sound rather chicken-ish. You know those 2 things can be had, just ask...
