How far does the adapter move the steering wheel towards the driver? Is it enough to make turn signals/wiper lever reach uncomfortable?
Anyone rewire their cruise control switches to remote locations? I've seen wheels with what looks like little red momentary switches for the horn (on the spokes), but I suppose that can be changed to something that can hold a constant "on" until you hit the brake.
Although this was from a new edge install, so far this is the only info that I could find in my search that gives me an idea to what I'm looking for:
"The air bag controller expects to see the squib's 2.3Ω resistance when it tests the air bag (it does this by passing a low voltage current limited signal through the squib), two 4.7Ω resistors in parallel across the air bag wires provide a 2.35Ω termination, close enough to trick the controller.
Cruise control switch functions were duplicated using two SPDT (center off) momentary contact switches, one SPST momentary switch, and three resistors to simulate the steering wheel mounted controls"
Steve Poe: How did you install your fr500c wheels on your cars? I read that it won't fit with standard adapters. Is there a specific steering column/shaft?
