My 2014 GT Has the Brembo brake package.

I was just wondering if there was any difference between the Brembo's on my GT verses ones on the GT500 or BOSS 302 ?

2014 gt has 4 piston Brembos like the boss 302 and earlier gt500's. 13-14 gt500's have 6 piston Brembos.

Earlier gt500's were different in that they are gloss black with white lettering, whereas the Boss/Brembo package were flatblack with red.. but otherwise the same

Appreciate the info

I would think then, that wheels from Boss or GT500 cars so equipped, should fit my car- if I wanted to use them

Thanks

The OP did ask was there any difference between his '14 GT Brembo's and those on the BOSS 302 or GT500's.

To his question, no, there isn't any difference between the GT w/Brembo and BOSS 302.
And, yes, there are subtle to major differences between the GT w/Brembo and GT500.

From what I've read the brembo are the same 4 piston fronts from 11-14 on brembo cars and the 12 and 13 boss and 07-12 shelby. The 13-14 shelby are 6 piston.

What I don't know is what's different on the rears. Aren't the brembo cars 2 piston rears?

No. Only the '13-14 GT500 have different rear brakes, and on those, the calipers are the same with bigger rotors.
I looked up my 2011 brochure and it says for brembo package the rears are a 2 piston. False advertising? Lol not saying you're wrong just something I've never confirmed.

Depends how you look at it, sure, there's two pistons back there, one on either end of the axle assembly.

I have heard the rear caliper while same general design can have different castings on earlier cars.. basically even swapping to 13/14 mounting bracket the disc may contact the caliper itself. Between the pads I believe, what would that be called the saddle?!... it's been a while, if memory serves correctly there may not even be a part number difference it's just be aware if you're early s197 you MAY have contact if you try the swap.

There is an aftermarket adapter bracket that is not as involved if trying to upgrade those rears, don't know if that is affected by caliper casting
