I haven't been to the tracks in awhile but how about you ST guys? Ken, Paul, Dean, Adam, Don, etc. - any of you guys been running anything?

I ask cause I usually see some info in the track section here on a regular basis for you guys. Is it the heat keeping you guys away?

Don - do you have your car?

Just want some info and updates on you guys...

Not yet... had a few glitches along the way. First, after the crank came back from the machine shop in early June, Adam went to assemble the engine. But, the main journal clearances were too tight. So it had to go back to the machine shop. That took another 3 weeks or so. So, right before the 4th of July, he gets the engine together. When it and the trans were ready to go back in the car last week, he noticed something not quite right with the converter. So, that had to be shipped back to PI for repair work. As far as I know, it is still at PI, and hopefully it will get sent back to ST next week. Once the engine/trans are back in, and it gets tuned, then it still needs to go to the guy to do the door bars. Hopefully, that work should only take a day (or 2 at most).

My hope is to be back at the track in August! :thumb:

June just isn't your month Don. Remember when the motor was getting built? That was supposed to be a June launch too. God forbid don't make your house deadline in June!

LOL... thanks for the reminder Tony. Actually, the delay hasn't been an issue for me anyway. We have been overwhelmed by a bunch of house-related stuff for the past month and a half anyway. There is no way I could have made it to the track in June (or July).

Oh, and yes... there is a reasonable chance that the house might be done around next June. haha

p.s. I'm not real fond of Oct 22, either.

I haven't been to the track in a while---not in a hurry to fix my trans as it has been hot and will continue to be for a few more months.

Still trying to decide if I should just repair the 5R55s or go the 4R7OW route.

By the way, Adam was at the track last night.

We went thursday. Adam went 6.10 at like 114.mph after the 60ft it went left near the wall and he had to get out of it for a bit. His car is hooking great though pulled the wheel at least 6 inches if it had front tire travel limiters it would have been higher. I think that icebox in the back really helps. His wife also ran her car I not sure what it ran. Also Eric ran his car but does not have a cage and has to hit the brakes hard to not get kicked out again. I am having a few more mods done before it comes back out.

You know Paul FFW is coming faster than you think. You had better get it done.

Nice! Any video? He told me he was hoping to get into the 5s... sounds like it might have, if he hadn't of had to lift.

I went to West coast hot rods last night to watch, there was a bunch of fast cars there. I was going to run mine but felt embarrassed seeing what was there. It was hot out there and understand why nobody wants to race right now. I did watch Greg@RET run 9.0@155  He had three other cars out there also running low 9's.

Eduardo it was nice meeting you, cant wait to see your car when it is done. I hope you hit your goal of 9.80's.

It was nice meeting you too, I am just waiting for the cooler days and will take it to the track.

I never saw that many fast cars before at the track. There were 2 s197's racing, one went 11.8 on the juice and the MMR car went 8.3's (I think It broke down again....lol).

Greg went [email protected] and 9.15@155 on the previous pass.

The other 2 RET Customer's cars went 9.0 @ 15X with the 2V and 9.2@14X with the 4V.

We will be there for the next event for both days with my car and 4 other cars (not s197's), we came back today at 7 AM since we had to do stuff with the families. Take care man.

Greg from RET had 3 S197s in the 9s? If he did that's impressive!!
