Anyone have a guess as to what this is?

So I've had my 12 Boss for a few weeks now, and I've finally started driving it more. aaand that being said, I noticed that my main gauges have some sort of staining on them! It was something I hadnt seen until I drove it in the right light, but when I shined a flashlight on it and took a pic, this is what they look like. Has anyone seen anything like this before? It is behind the glass, trying to clean it has no effect at all. Pics:

Im hoping this will be covered under warranty, since it is behind the glass and not on the surface. Guess I'll find out!

If it doesn't wipe off it may be some sort of grime on the other side.

I am ashamed to say i have not cleaned the interior yet at all, it was pretty clean from the dealership. When i saw the staining, i used some automotive glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth, with no effect.

Was it stained when you bought it? Are you 100% sure it's on the inside or did a cleaner the previous owner/dealer use stain it?

Should be covered under B2B warranty if the stain is on the inside. I've seen that before on trade ins here at the dealer and we have the same reaction you have... lol

The face on my radio did that same thing. It was fine and then all of a sudden it had that fogging which is on the inside toward the gauge and not the side that you would be cleaning. They replaced it under warranty and couldn't figure out why it happened.

My wife's '12 Ford Escape did this, as well. The "staining" was on the inside, so no amount of cleaning the outer surface would help.

Well that makes me feel better that I'm not the only one. I'm taking it in to hopefully get fixed this weekend, so we will see! Thanks for the input guys.
