So I have a GT500 Hood replica from Trufiber and the base plate that is responsible for holding my hood pins are pretty much falling off of the hood. The screws responsible for holding down the base have rounded out the fiberglass to the point where it no longer holds the base to the hood anymore.
So question is does anyone know what kind of hardware these little metal thread inserts are called much like whats found on the Ford performance intake? The idea I had was to glue similar inserts into the hood instead of filling with fiberglass resin and having to redrill it in. It's a more permanent solution. Thanks!
