Looks like a nice setup. I just got a new 2011 GT California Special with auto and instead of going through bolt ons and then one day a supercharger I'd like to just go straight for the supercharger kit plus any supporting mods needed. This is a daily driver and needs to stay reliable and driveable. It will see track time a few times a year maybe. I really love the car so far and it's impressive how fast it is stock. But...more HP is always nice!

Just wondering if anyone has been using the Edelbrock setup and how they like it.

i know this isn't what you asked for but i have it on my '05, so i can comment on the blower's quality. i haven't had one issue with it and i drive it a lot including driving 2000 miles in a long weekend to see my family and going for a drive through some mountains with friend from the board. the blower is top notch and looks, drives and fits great. power is very good and smooth and the only... ONLY thing i don't like is there is NO blower whine really. however, after driving it i'm over that and love it. point is that i would buy this kit again in a second. you won't be disappointed.

We have installed a few of these kits on manuals and auto's. Awesome fitment and great power. Also, edelbrock offers a warrenty on their blowers. Please shoot us a call for more information.

Thanks for the input. I noticed no blower whine in the videos I've watched. That's fine with me. I like to be stealthy. Your car looks badass!

I'm in research mode right now, but will keep you in mind. Do you have any input on the kits as far as drivabilty, power, quality, etc? I'll be installing it myself so that doesn't fit into their warranty program that extends to the drivetrain. Really looking to get the stock motor and fuel system at a max safe HP level on pump gas. I like the looks of the kit and HP claims.

danny.. you cant go wrong with bbr's service or their tunes..
I'm guessing that's where your tunes are from Larry?

yes.. my tunes are from bbr. with all the #8 crap going on lately i was informed that bbr doesnt change that in the tune. i checked my plug to make sure everything looked good and it looks the same as all the other plugs. BBR have always been helpful and nice anytime i call and ask. Steve even called to check up on some changes he made to my tune.

I wanted to do the E-Force originally but went with the Roush because I couldnt wait any longer, plus the Roush seemed to be doing well. Its the same TVS blower and its dead silent at the 7psi level with the stock airbox. You can hear it a little at 9psi, I like it quiet myself so no complaintes there from me.

Good plan on skipping all the boltons and heading right for the blower, thats exactly what I did I and I have zero regrets. All I did was bolt the blower on, load the tune and bolt somne 18" drag radials on and it ran in the 10s first time out back in March. The cool thing is except for the extra power the car drives pretty much stock, no loud exhaust, rattling suspension parts, header/exhaust leaks or unbolting parts for weight reduction. I dont think you can go wrong with the Edelbrock, its a nice looking setup, all the PD blowers seem to work well on these.

The drivability of the Edelbrock is awesome. There are no heat soak issues and this system makes great power!

The first one we installed, we drove up to Mustang Week in South Carolina all over creation up there and back without one single problem. That's an easy 2,500 mile trip.

Kit comes complete with a tune that is spot on!!!

if you go with the Edelbrock system, you won't be disappointed.

Perfect across the board. And install, it's prob the easiest most straight forward kit out there. With the right tools, maybe 5hrs.

Cool! Is the tune based on an otherwise 100% stock car? What tuner is used? Thanks again for all the info BBR guys!

It's all based with SCT. Edelbrock includes a SCT X3 tuner with their kits with a pre-loaded file. If you have other mods, we can surely write you an updated tune for other items such as longtubes, off road exhaust, gears...etc...

Dang how many plugs can we get in one thread...

Also I talked to a supplier for Edelbrock when the kit first came out. They mentioned warranty only good if going on a stock car. IE no headers, exhaust, costume tune. SO are you BBR saying that isn't true?

We have an Edelbrock test car at our facility and I will have to agree that the kit is just plain awesome right out of the box!

I would like to hear about Edelbrock vs Roush. Advantages to each. I got to say the Eforce looks like crap IMO but it is performs better then I could overlook that.

The warranty the Edelbrock offer's is with their tune on a stock car. The edelbrock tune is pretty dead on that comes with it as stated earlier in this thread. We at BBR think it's cool they offer this and just showing the consumer that they have this. If you want to find out more. Please feel free to call Edelbrock directly or we can help you at any time.

The main difference is with Edelbrock, with their tune, they offer warranty. Edelbrock also offer's longer runner's (adds more down low trq)

The Roush has a larger inlet (allows larger TB and CAI)

Thread is full of great info, My thoughts are to do the same. Supercharge the car and call it a day. But i must admit i am way nervous about the #8 deal. But Time will tell i guess.
