I am currently rebuilding my engine and want to upgrade some stuff while I'm in there but I want to be able to rev up to 7k or a little over like 7100 or 7200 rpm. I am wondering what I have to upgrade to make this possible and reliable since I will probably daily the car for a bit. Right now I am thinking about putting forged rods and pistons in it(MMR 4.6 FORGED Pistons, Rings & Rod Kit Combo) so that later on I can boost without worrying about going over 450 wheel torque. If anyone has any other rod and piston upgrades I'm open to suggestions. Right now I so far have a Ford performance Timing kit, a Melling High Volume Oil pump, and an Edelbrock High volume water pump. I want to get cams in the future and I'm thinking about getting Detroit Rockers but it seems like I should get a comp cam instead that is rated for around 7k rpm but I'm not sure. I live in California so I would like to buy stuff that will work with the factory tune but I will be getting cams after I smog the car sometime in March 2025 so after that I will get the cam and probably a lito tune. I just need the car to run on factory tune until I smog it one more time.
