I am all for the Pypes! They are super nice pieces and come with everything needed for the install. I got the steal of the century...I paid $480 shipped for the HDR55SK header and x-pipe set from Summit Racing. This was at the beginning of Feb. Two days later they upped the price to $680.

I posted some pictures in my dyno thread. Very impressive when you pull them out of the box. Nice seat of the pants difference as well. I gained 47rwhp and 15rwtq when I added these AND Mutha Thumprs.

Brn' - That had to be a pricing error... you basically got the x-pipe for free!
Very cool that Summit honored those sales!

That's what it was listed on their website $487.95. Call and order over the phone and then they try and charge me $537.95. I said, " hey, it says this much on the website." Okay. We will honor that price. Sweet! So that plus their 12.95 handling fee MINUS my $20 coupon is $480! The nest day the internet had the $537.95 price listed. A day or two after that it was upped to $680ish!

I actually called them to try and figure out whyyhry were so much cheaper. I wanted to make sure it was the same product and that I wasn't overlooking anything that would make theirs cheaper. They said nope so I said I'll take one. Was at my door less than a week later (drop shipped from Pypes). Lucky deal!

Hope the same people that have no problem buying the Pypes-Kooks knock offs-aren't the same ones bashing UPR for doing the same thing in the chit chat section.

agreed...
Here's hoping my Header Bearings do not wear prematurely...

Think I'll take the 560.00 I saved over the Kooks and by some Tokicos...

Sent an email to Pype with some questions, so I thought I'd post the response here:

The H-Pipe for the Long Tubes
Part Number HFM55
The X-Pipe for the Long Tubes
Part Number XFM55

According to Pypes... "You can simply add our CVM10K cat kit to the x-pipe to make it catted."

That said, I'm sure you could use your stockers (welded), or some other brand of cat...

When I called brenspeed the tech told me I could order them however I wanted with an x or h and with or without cats.

For the china haters out there, I hope you never shop at walmart, kmart, or target.

Cant wait to install mine!!!
