Fool....He spent all that time building up that positive Itrader so he could scam some tool outta 60 bucks...:dead2:

Just to be clear to everyone, I never once thought the seller was out to scam me. I simply do not feel that he is making it right.

To his defense Sherod also said his friend shipped it (stated in the PM posted) then he went back on that by saying he sipped after his friend took it out. Lol Just trying to be fair here but I still think braupe messed it up when putting it in.

Thanks for the support, and speculation?

I would also like to see pics of the buyer's old radio with screenname and date so its not just a random picture...

I didn't even think of the existing radio already being bad therefor buying Sherrod's radio and then swapping them when the package arrived...OP, why did you need another radio?

Pics below. I needed a new unit because my 6 disc jammed up like many shakers do. Everything else is functional.

I agree. Post a pic of both radios side by side.

Please see pics below.

+2

I don't know either party, but I will side with sherrod. I've sold plenty of stuff on forums and ebay and you would have to be a dumbass to get a great rating just to scam someone for $70. Bad business practice.

Plus, like someone else said OP, your first buy here and you run to post a bad review when you know deep down inside you are wrong. I know I would never sell to you for fear of being scammed by you.

Agreed. It makes no sense to scam someone over $70. I don't feel that anybody is intentionally being scammed here. Just a frustrating experience for both parties and an unresolved refund.

Also don't worry about selling to me. I am a bit weary of buying from the S197 classifieds after all of this.

Odd he is no longer here defending himself. Hmmm.. seems GUILTY!

Im back. I have just been working OT the past few days.

^Well he signed on today and no one has heard from him...

Hi. Were you that bored?

Not meaning to piss on the fire. But the mark you have circled in red, looks exact to the picture the buyer posted.

If you read, the first pic is the one the seller posted...The 2nd one is the one the buyer posted....So therefore, thats why the 2nd picture looks like the pic the buyer posted because thats exactly what it is. lol

I never expected a perfect radio. It was used, but the scratch on it was clearly not on the radio when he listed it, and I paid for it. when I received it, there was the scratch. I instantly took a picture and sent that to the seller.

Okay everyone, here are the requested pics:

The unit that came with my car is in the dash (non chrome rings). Sherrods (chrome rings) is in my lap. The pics are bad, but all I have access to is a camera phone (no flash) and a cheap flash light.

I took a few pics due to the glare from the flash light.

To clarify for those who are not reading all of the posts. Yes the scratch is an issue. But was something I was willing to work with to save for Sherrod and I from having to deal with refunds and return shipping. The problem is that the radio does not work.

I assumed that it did work, and that the scratch would not effect the functionality of the radio.

From what he says he tried to make it right but you just got stingy wanted your money back plus the money for shipping. So explain to us where he tried not to make it right? Im trying to stay neutral here for now but either you messed it up putting it in or it got messed up during shipping. They dont take care of packages in the warehouse at all they get thrown around and shit gets put on top of them. So blaming the seller who has GREAT rep is crazy IMO, he tried to make it right and still is just take the $60 ship it back and be on with your lives.

The seller wanted me to ship it back at my expense. And give him up to 10 days to if he wants to give me a refund of $60 for the radio.

I have no problem shipping it back at my expense. (I did at first but I realize that he is not an online store and he paid to ship it here. So that seems fair for me to pay its way back).

Thus far I have had conflicting stories about who packed and removed the radio. I honestly don't know what to believe. It was packed well and the box appeared to be undamaged.

All I know is that it was damaged upon arrival. And does not work. I will gladly ship it back to him after the refund. But I am uncomfortable shipping it back at my expense (making it $80 out of my pocket) for a possible refund at a later date.

I am asking Sherrod to refund me the $70 I have spent on a faulty product and I will ship it back ASAP at my expense.

I was in the car when it was working...can't say what happened during shipping though...I can tell you that he is not going to risk anything to scam you though...You don't know what he does for a living and thats not important but I promise you his career is worth more than $70

This is correct.... Very crazy.

I am sorry the radio does not work, truely am. I will agree that this had got blown out of portion and should have never got this way in the first place. I only ask for 10 days to allow me to have time to pull my switch panel out of my car and have a chance to verify that the radio doesn't work. This is asking no more than any other business or person would ask before they would refund your money. Could be a simple fix that could be handle with minimum cost for repair. Don't know until it can be looked at. I also seen members on here offering to repair it for no more than shipping cost to them, great bunch of people on here.

Still it is crazy to think I will give a refund or even entertain it without return of the radio. If paypal descides in your favor, you will still have to return the radio before refund. Just the way things are and how they go. If I receive a item in the mail damaged and not the way it was described I send it back. Simply send it back and put the liability on them. Now it would look like I was not tring to get over on them as I would have nothing to hide. They would have the radio and my money and I would look like a victim in the eyes of everyone. Nothing to lose by sending it back if it doesn't work. Out of a radio that doesn't work, nothing is loss if it doesn't work, right? Feel like it is been held for ransom or something, very very crazy.... Don't know what to think.... LOL.

Done beating the dead horse..... :deadhorse:

This is true, not tring to scam you out of $70! Just not worth it too me..... Not about the money. About the way it was handled and the principle of it now.... Guess we both have something to learn from this....

Sherrod is a good guy and he wouldnt scam anyone! I know this first hand, I bought the blower that is on my car from him and that was way more then 70 bucks man. I would have to agree on getting the radio back before a refund was issued just because that is what any of us would do. There has to be some sort of trust dealing with people on any forum so keep it private and get it resolved between yourselves! No reason to call him out like that unless he just flat out said deal with it which I highly highly doubt.

That guys is clearly a rookie when it comes to online shopping. It's crazy to ask for a refund and not ship the item back. try that with ANY online business. Go try that with AM.. But yeah. It's a dead horse situation here. Good luck sherrod, I hope you don't get screwed over in this crap deal.

im gonna go ahead and say LEE'S05GT is deserving of being in here. he agreed to sell me a part, then after sending me his payment info, turned around and sold it to someone else. i sent him the money and he says he thought he pmed me about selling it to one of his friends. it wasnt anything expensive or necessary, but it is a fucked up way doing business.

Like I said in the pm to you, I apologized, it was kinda messed up for me to do it, but shit happens, I made a mistake, i sent your money back right away. Seeing as long as ive been here i think ive done pretty good for this to be the one and only complaint ive gotten. I try to treat people good and give everybody a chance, again I apologized about the confusion.

Just purchased some things from Lee....already have a tracking number and he has been great at communicating....I highly disagree with him being in the "bad sellers" list

try re-reading what i wrote. what he did wasnt right. he "sold" me the part and then turned around and sold it to someone else. you having a good experience doesnt negate what he did to me.
