Just curious, but why don't all the people that had bad encounters with buying parts from HOLYWD just go back and edit there itrader?

I had a couple transactions with him. One of them was questionable. I paid for an item and after a while he finally replied to one of my MANY PM's about it. He just said he had been super buys so I let it go. Stuff like that happens...but communication is the key.

I know I've been late to ship stuff on occasion or had issues with a LED conversion that took longer than planned. The best thing to do is PM the buyer and keep them up to speed on the what's going on.

I hate to see all this come out....but if it walks like a duck and squawks like a duck!!

I can describe my bad encounter to you, tell me what you would do.

I buy a set of heads, all kinds of red flags go off but are explained away as he's really busy, sent messages to the wrong email, still busy.

When I get the heads they can't be used. I contact Caleb about it. He says he didn't notice the conditions but whatever, shit happens and this time it happened to me. Shipping is expensive on heads so I offer a solution that won't involve shipping the heads back since they are worthless anyway. I salvage all the useable parts and ballpark what I might be able to sell them for, figure scrap value of the heads, and ask for the difference in cash. He agrees but doesn't send the money. Says he doesn't have it. At that point I pm a few mods and Caleb at the same time so he isn't blindsided by anything. I also call him out on here, enough pressure is applied to him that he suddenly finds the money and paypals it to me.

After all that I could of left a negative but didn't. Why? I gave him the benefit of the doubt. However unlikely it was that all those things happened to him in the end our mutually agreed upon solution was met. At that point I'm out of the discussion and if the roles were reversed I would want to be given the benefit of the doubt.

Like I mentioned before. Members who don't know his history see his feedback and that he is a mod. So they always give him the benefit of doubt. A lot of the times hook him up better than they would to us "regular" members. Kuro's a friend of mine and had warned me about his shadyness a long time ago, even had a thread a while back that stirred up a shit storm, much like this. (someone post the link!)

Not only does holywd flip parts from us to us, he lies out the ass for his benefit. Kid will never be successful unless he fixes that. I traded him my ps3 for a Xbox. In his ad I saw he listed a wireless adapter. After i got the item, I noticed there wasn't an adapter. When asked him, he said he doesn't have one but his 'friend' does and would sell it to me. LOL. Same happened to another member who bought a roush front end from him.

Also I believe this forum would lose ALOT of traffic without a classified section. So let's all try and keep that in tact!

The system doesn't work if he is given a benefit of a doubt. That's why one or two negatives shouldn't be such a bad thing, we all know that shit happens. Someone is going to have excuses and you can never know for sure if they are true or not. The only way to see a pattern is to give bad experiences a negative. If you are the only one to give him a negative, it shouldn't reflect that poorly on him.

Just because he finally paid you the difference doesn't make it right. The point is, he screwed you in the first place and didn't want to make it right until he knew he was exposed. There has been to many people saying he is making up excuses for his lack of communication and honesty.
He has been given the benefit of the doubt long enough. This needs to stop, and our mods and admin are on top of it.

I understand where you're coming from, but you could have left neutral itrader and explained the situation in the comment box. Itrader needs to be used more accurately (regardless if he made it right) as everyone can see why now.

In no way, shape, form am I defending HOLYWD because what he did was shady and wrong, but a lot of this could have been avoided if itrader was used correctly for HOLYWD and actually taken into consideration before buying.

Obviously he should take responsibility for this, because when selling a second hand part, that you never personally used, you take the liability for said part. I always thought that was common knowledge.

IMO buying and selling used parts (or ANY product at that) for a personal profit and not for personal use is a form of business. This vendor fee bickering match is getting old. I have no say in whether he should or demand he pay vendor's fees. Admims will decide what to do as they see fit. I personally think that if anyone has a problem with how Admins handle HOLYWD or this situation then DON'T support HOLYWD (quit buying and selling him parts). And if you do from here on out than shame on you if you get screwed you took the risk.

All the flags were there!

Anyone, being HOLYWD, who would take an an advertised FREE part in the classifieds because a member wanted to hook other mustang lovers up, take said part keep it for a few weeks, THEN flip the same said part on the SAME forum it was originally advertised as free, for $150 or whatever, when he got it for free, just speaks for their character, the person they are, the situation they are in and shows to some degree this practice of flipping TONS and TONS of parts on here, plays into his INCOME, not his mod money. This is just low and not a good person, and this is what KURO called out!!

Yet he keeps coming on the forum and not saying a word, he is logged in right now!! NOTHING but crickets.....

I've seen shady people get good deals on here then try to sell them in EBay or other forums, I saw someone make at least a $300 on cams that they got on here for a steal and then sold on mustangforum for like $575....

I never said it did. I said I gave him the benefit of the doubt and moved on.

Have you had dealings with him?

Holywd is no longer a mod due to this and is currently restricted from the classifieds until he takes care of this issue.
