Send it back. If he has not refunded your money plus shipping as offered in this thead WITHIN TWO WEEKS of delivery back to him... I will send you the $135 plus your shipping

Hard to hide money....LOL

Seriously...take the refund. I'd be inclinded to have the seller refund the money first though. It'd be the stand-up thing to do.

...and be reasonable on shipping. Don't send it priority overnight with a bunch of lead in the box either.. Seller said he got it shipped for $30 so that is what I am thinking here..

Dispute is one thing... Would rather get back to talking car shit lol..

Crown..thanks for the gesture/offer, but I'd never take money from someone that doesn't owe me.

As I said earlier, the valve covers are usable and I'll be doing that. The $135 was for the combo, timing & valve covers. I only consider myself to be out $67.50 and I'm not losing sleep over that amount. I've decided I'll just keep what I have, use the valve covers and if seller ever wants to make good on the timing cover, then we can do that. I put him here in the Bad Sellers thread because I consider him to be just that. If the mods want to pink or ban him for this, that's up to them. I'm not lobbying for anything. Just wanted to expose the guy.

I think the key thing I learned from this, and I hope everyone that didn't know for sure has learned, FILE YOUR DISPUTE with PayPal BEFORE 45 days expire. No matter how much BS a seller feeds you, at least you have the dispute going. Hopefully that'll turn a bad seller into a good one.

/end drama

I'm sort of confused by the dialogue so let me try and get this straight -

*You bought a set of 8 new injectors
*One Injector was defective
*You would have to pay to flow test each brand-new injector
*You didn't want a refurbished replacement since that was only replacement option (regarding the defective one)
*You bought a single new injector
*You spent money on an additional injector when you just wanted a new replacement to begin with

Is that right?

all this happened after being all but guaranteed from the beginning from Bobby that i would have NO ISSUES with these injectors and was talked out of buying ID's that I had all but paid for to buy these from him. essentially, he is drop shipping a product he isn't willing to stand behind and I wasn't willing to use a refurbished injector on a 7k motor that never fired from the 1st start as evidenced by the spark plug and then get some lame bullshit excuse that there was dirt, not debris but dirt clogging an injector with this size orifice. so yeah. it's to the point now where I refuse to allow him to suck up the loss and keep the injector thats why im airing this out. he had many opportunities to make it right, he could buy 7 and sell this in a set to recoupe his loss but just pin it back to the customer always works since it is a virtual business. I would've dropped this against had he given me the vendors info as I had 1 avenue of recourse but he refused that also so fuck him pretty much.

You didn't like the warranty process, different problem.
warranty process ? No customer service process sounds more like what my bitch is where as D.O.A. is concerned.

Here is how it went down. He called me about 1000cc injectors. I talked to him about them and he ended up buying them. He towed the car to pro-dyno after installing them. One injector was not working. He then took an extention and was tapping on it to try to make it work and wile doing that he made a blimish on the injector. I then talked to him and he kept saying he needed one by that weekend so he can start driving the car and dataloging it. I told him my supplier said he would have to send back the old injector so they can check it out before sending one so i then told him to send a new injector to him because he had to have one. I called sportingawoody and told him its on the way. He then asked about paying for it. I told him lets wait andsee what happens after they get his injector and see what is wrong with it and how they will warrenty it. He was ok with that. My supplyer then messed up and sent it to the wrong person. After we got that straitened out and he got it the car fired right up and ran just like it is suppose to. My supplyer called me the other day and said they looked at it and it had debris of some kind in it. He said it can come from anything. He cleaned it and retested it. They then charged me the cleaning fee. I told sportingawoody what happened. They are sending me the old injector back. It isnt a referbished injector just a cleaned one. If he would have just waited and followed the warrenty process he would have had to buy the extra injector (which i still havent been paid for even though he gave me his word and he said he was a man of his word) and i will not send it to him till i get paid. In this same time he wanted a maf. I sold him one at cost to help out as much as possible. Sorry for the misspelling i am typing this from my phone.

I also paid for the cleaning of the injector to reduce the down time, not sure what else I could have done or supposed to have done to make this right...

I still don't see how S&H "fucked" Sportinawoody? This all seems like abuse of this Bad Sellers thread to me because someone is frustrated with their build. All posts pertaining to this should be deleted from this thread.

Wait, so in the other thread you said nothing against S&H and now have since changed your mind? Did you miss your bipolar medicine refill or something?

You understand the piece of debris that clogged the injector could have come from your car?

Companies are not going to ignore their warranty process because you have a car show. They are not gonna send a replacement without having the old. They have been down that road many, many times, and never got the part back.

You come across as a young, immature jerk.

now its debris , the other day it was dirt , that has changed since our conversation. i have seen metal debris in fuel rails and even nitrous plates before, this isn't my first rodeo but theres a big difference in the 2 and now the stiory has changed. what you coulda done is stood behind what you sold me and if it cost you to make the deal right ,,, then eat it. thats what REPUTABLE companies do. thats what my company does in the same fucking situation.
to the other idiots replying you should read the entire thread, it was a new fuel system that was bled with new gas from a dry gas tank, sure, there was tons of dirt and debris, think there was bugs in there as well as an old pair of socks ! are f'ing kidding me? removed my solution1 45 micron washable filter ( brand new of course ), not one spec of debris but then again you aren't the ones getting bent so whats it to you to air out your ignorant opinions. and im not young , I'm irritated

The problem you have is the part didn't fail. It was plugged up by dirt/debris/doesn't matter in your fuel system. Nobody but you should be responsible for that, yet he still did what he could to get you taken care of, without taking it in the shorts from a customer with unrealistic demands. Sounds like great customer service to me.

If I sell a part to a customer, which I do 100 times per day, and that customer breaks that part putting it on, or loses it going home, or does anything else that's not my, or the parts fault, then he's responsible for the replacement cost.

While I agree with you, Sam...and certainly not getting involved in this or taking sides.....this would be more of a "hmm, how could that be" question. So here goes...

The injector was diagnosed with dirt/debris. Is it not odd that only one injector on that fuel rail had this issue? Seems if there was dirt/debris in the tank/line, it would've affected more than one injector.

Don't flame me, folks. I'm just asking what I think is a legitimate question and am curious what the answer is.

Whose to say the dirt or debris didn't come from improper handling during installation or what have you? It's not Bobby's fault.

That's a valid suggestion. But, the buyer says everything should have been clean, so if there was dirt/debris in there, it would have only been a small amount. Possibly even one "chunk". Enough to plug up an injector, but not enough to plug up any of the others.

Sometimes on a new build, no matter how hard you try to avoid it, crap sneaks into places it's not supposed to.

I concur with Sam. Just because only one injector messed up, doesn't mean there wasn't dirt in the system. Could also have happened during install.
