I use the brace and a stock shifter and I have NO shifting issues at all. I never implied you had to spend more money to make a part that doesn't work work.

Sucks that you spent $300 and then, because you couldn't install it yourself, spent more money at a shop that probably installed it wrong.

My advice and recommendation is to learn to drive.

As for having someone else install it, the car was already up in the air, getting a new clutch and one piece DS. Would have been foolish to have done the install myself, while the labor to install the shifter was free.

In response to it possibly being installed incorrectly, I don't feel I could possibly blame my shop, that is one of the BIG shops that is quite competent at performing such a small task. (The shop will remain unnamed "Unless they decide to chime in" as this isn't to bash anyone or any company)

As for learning how to drive: I don't see where this applies. I've been on a MT for the past 15 years and have never had trouble. If it worked 1500 miles ago and got worse over time, might you me insinuating that I have lost all of my driving skills over the last 1500 miles, and have simply forgotten how to press a clutch in to the point of disengagement and row the boat? Or is it possible that three others that have driven the car agree that the shifter should be replaced.
