Recently picked up a cheap set of used BBK long-tube headers. I was wondering if anyone knows if anyone sells the hardware for it or what I can buy if I were to source it myself. I also bought a BBK catted X pipe for it, and I think there are the longer exhaust bolts for that too that I will not have, so if anyone knows where or which bolts I should buy for those, that would be greatly appreciated. I know that if you buy a new set, it comes with some hardware you have to modify. If there are some aftermarket bolts I can get that wouldn't need modifying, that would be preferred. Also, does anyone know if I can just use a stud that I cut to fit where BBK says I need to use the bolts?
Thank you

I installed BBK shorties a few years ago. I was able to reuse some of the fasteners.

I will say this - use 6-point sockets only! Those little studs will round off in a heartbeat with 12pt sockets.

All I've heard about shorty hedders is that they look kool but give nothing in the HP deportment. Long tube or nothing at all. Electric cut outs are an option if you're not worried about MAX HP.

Yes LT are better but for what the shorties cost me ($100 new in the box) it was a no brainer. Easy to install, bolts up to h-pipe and no loss of ground clearance.

Also on average you can gain of 4–5 hp and 8 lb-ft of torque with shorties. This has been dyno proven. Add intake and pulleys etc. It adds up!
