Congrats Beefcake. There is no denying the transformation your car and your organization have made in the past couple of years. You made it to the top and nobody can take that accomplishment away from you.

Beef I keep telling people your time and the fact its still a full blown street car and to say the least they are impressed. Most are older racers from the 70's.

Congrats, Beef! You are a motivation to all who want to race, but keep their cars street legal. I will likely never run 8s (I'd be happy with 10s at my altitude), but whatever I do run, it will be without any weight reduction.

Ok, maybe I will take out the kids' car seats.... but that will only be for safety reasons!

As for this BBR thing.... holy shit. How can a once good shop turn into such a bunch of dickheads. And his wife/fiancee stuffing the box with their votes? That's unacceptable.

I believe Tommy meant nothing but trying to get your goat. They'll be a shop to worry about. Should be good. Wish I could be there......

well, evo's held the record for some time, i know we have all been trying to take it.

Terry, that car was a lot different than yours, and for that reason I normally wouldn't compare the 2. However, since you're now referring to that car as the previous record holder, then I have to ask what makes Holbrook's car that just ran 8.50 at the same event you were at any different? If your thought is because it doesn't have a VIN, well I just don't see what that has to do with ET.

I don't think evo's car really was comparable either, but it did start life as a gt, that evolved over time and technically was still "street legal".

A cobra jet is a purpose built race car and is not street legal, the same as mmrs car. MMRs car is a 7.02 car, but again, a purpose built race car. MMRs is more extreme than the cobra jet, but both are non street legal, purpose built race cars. They can duke it out on that front.

Mmr has the quickest 5.0 period. I have the quickest street legal one (for now.....)

Atlanta will be fun, the coyote shootout at Norwalk, even more so.

I know Jpc, evo, Galimi, cruz, and a few others have big plans

Visual is easy, some ultra high flowing cats that have 'had their day', flow just fine.

Codes are easy. Car doesn't drive with any codes.

We don't have Echeck here, so as far as a tailpipe sniffer, not for sure. The cams i have do have a decent lift, but the duration isn't anything crazy. I'm sure Jon could whip up a tune that would take it right through if need be though.

I apologize for getting in on any smack talk. We were not trying to pile on and I'm sorry it may have felt that way. I by no means am trying to take away from the times you ran. Your car ran great congrats Again. These engines and cars are awesome for sure. The S197 & Mustang community for that fact is awesome. If I have offended anyone with my comments I also apologize this was not my intent, my intent was to boost up the upcoming match races.

I'm all for smack talk. Lets talk about cars, kicking each other's ass at the track, etc...

I'm up for that any day of the week. I'm just not up for any personal bashing. I have too much respect for Justin to want to get involved in going that direction.

I do appreciate you coming in and apoligizing. Now get that car together!!!!!

Less talk more work damnit!!!!!!!

Working on a couple little things, gonna see if we can't step it up for GA!

I talked to steve yesterday, he says the race with Chris is a go, they have a customers 2010 "Full weight Street Car" they wan't me to race to.

I told him that was fine, maybe we get a few cars and do a little bracket down.
