believe it or not, travis is pretty strict on vendors

as a newer company, it took me 8 months to get on as a vendor, and he turns people away quite often.

on3 got turned away i believe

jayman got turned away, then banned for soliciting business in pm's

as far as bbr...... i think their days are numbered in general, PBH is gonna put them out of business

I don't think that is a bad thing so you don't saturate the fourm with vendors; with regard to Jayman though...what was he supposed to do? He asked to be a vendor, he was told no, people contacted him via PM's for prices/parts so was he not supposed to answer them? IMO he did everything by the book and was punished for it....?

I concur; what I don't understand is how they can protect BBR-vendor-but not protect Beefcake-vendor.....? These are two paying vendors, right?????

Somebody with some etiquette needs to start a thread asking SVTP why they lock and throw away threads that bring out truth, backed by......um....truth. Private forum or not, that's down right rediculous/scandulous. IMO

Information that would help a "community" of enthusiast by potentially keeping them from getting their cars destroyed by those car hacks are being thwarted by that jacked up admin on SVTP. Wow.......

IMO, I just don't post on that forum, nor am I a member. I stay here, where the big boys hang out, and build big boy cars. I may look at a thread that pops up on a google search, but that's as far as I go. No need for any other forum in my life other than S197.

Concur and I sent Red Turtle a PM addressing those very points...we will see where that goes.

Bottom line is, Terry has done nothing but take car of me, and Steve was nothing but shady when I talked to him on the phone. Ever since I started building my car, Terry has received 95% of my money, and BBR has not even been on my mind. All because of a phone call.

We all know that their shady business operations will and have cost them tons of money, and they will close the doors soon enough because of it. Like Terry mentioned, PBH will run away with all of their customers.

If enough people PM the mods on there about the perception of SVTP being a vendor protector maybe....just maybe....something will come of it...but you won't know until you try!

The reality is svtp is a site for fanboys who want nothing more than support from other fanboys.

Let them screw their cars up with advice from the tooners and other experts who only repeat what the cool kids say.

If you don't go over there the advertising $ go down because of less hits. The owner can choose to run the site anyway he wants. He values vendor $ over the forum members. It will bite him in the ass and he will never be able to recover the website once it happens. Let it happen.
