to be fair we need 15 people to come in here and eviscerate Lund for causing the gasket to fail with his shitty tune , because that is exactly what would have happened "if" BBR had shown up and popped a gasket.
But a tune can easily cause a blown head gasket. With a good set of pistons detonation will take out the gasket before it does the piston. Not saying this is what happened but it can/has happened and is a legitamate cause.
Beef cake put the motor back together in 3 days. Give him a break.
From what I can tell internet coverage has been minimal today!
Direct from the NMRA website:
"Terry “Beefcake” Reeves laid down an eight second run yesterday in his street-driven, Vortech Supercharged 2011 Mustang GT. He, unfortunately, popped a head gasket in the process of the impressive run. He is hunted for a title in Super Stang so what does he do? He turns to his longtime sponsor and huge NMRA supporter—UPR Products. The convertible has knocked off 9.90 runs but the car isn’t equipped with the proper safety equipment so a little piece of wood has been added to the throttle pedal. They would could simply remove timing and adjust the shift points in the automatic transmission but, of course, the hand-held SCT device is in Florida at UPR’s home facility."

Nice runs Terry. Hope the head gasket is a quick fix and shes back up and running soon!
The difference with all of us "other" shops, is we don't sit around crying to manufactures day after day about this and that, we don't say one thing and do another. We follow through.
Enough said.
We came, we raced, and we'll do it again.....
Others can say the same, others can't.

Is there usually threads like this on svtp?
