Hey i saw this one on homebrewtalk
i am in the process now of ordering everything to make a 5.0cf one to hold 3 ball locks for homebrew

Yeah homebrewtalk is awesome been getting all my info from there...mine is a 5.0cf hoping to fit two 1/4 slim barrels or maybe three 1/6th barrels not sure yet i ordered the kit for two faucets with the thought of adding a 3rd later down the road...need to look into home brewing sounds fun just have no clue where to start

that seems badass....would be nice just to see how much is left in your keg

If you didn't want to be that fancy you could always get an idea of how much beer is left by keeping the on a simple household scale.

I had some friends a few years back that turned the cabinet space under their bar into a kegerator. If i remember right all they did was insulate the inside/cabinet drawers and used the guts of a fridge to cool it. It was kind of redneck but it worked great.

I have just a little over $400 invested in the kegerator itself not including beer... The kit starts at $200 comes with 5# co2 bottle and everything needed to run two taps also come pre assembled so you don't gotta jack with anything once you receive the kit. I upgraded to stainless everything drone chrome/brass so that was a little extra $$$. Picked up the freezer for $80 on craigslist. Thermostat and probe was around $50 to get the freezer above freezing and control the temp.

I can fit two slim 1/4 barrels (7gal) and possibly three 1/6 barrels (5.16) gallons but prolly just keep it one 1/4 and one 1/6th barrel for now might add a third tap down the road
