Big Bore Boss knock sensor provisions?

I'm wondering what people with a big bore block are doing for knock sensors? There is one boss located in the center of the valley.

I'm wondering if I just use one and adjust the tune for it or stack the two that are on my harness and keep 2 sensors in the tune? If I go with one then which one should I use from the harness? Can I bolt the other ks somewhere else on the block?

I plan to keep the ks enabled.

I am fairly sure everyone you talk to is going to tell you theirs are turned off. I ask this same question when I was building my big bore engine, and was told the sensors wouldn't work correctly because of the iron block versus the stock aluminum. I would say try it and let us know how it works, mine are turned off in the tune but I would be happy if they could be turned back on to provide a little measure of safety.

I would use one and disable the other but I have no real tune experience.

I have heard that about older mustangs ie 96-04 but have never heard that about the 3v sensors. I was under the impression that they were very good at not picking up false knock or reading funny do to said circumstances.

The sensitivity can be changed. I haven't really messed with it yet but the tables are there. I need to datalog the current signals so I have a reference to compare to when the big bore goes in.

I didn't know the Boss big bore had provisions for knock sensors. I never had any on mine and they were just turned off in the tune.

I don't have the block yet but the pictures I've seen show a knock sensor boss right in the center of the valley. If I can use it I will. I like the added protection and don't want to limit the spark advance too much with the 12:1 compression. I could do that by running e85 all the time too I suppose.
