I think when they started framing it was one day and we had most of our walls in place...that part was VERY exciting. Being able to see the rooms start to take shape is very nice.

A house your size may take a little longer though, lol. Mine was 1700 sq ft. I sure miss it though...work moving me last May and apartment life is no fun. All in time, which you understand more than I do...

Can't wait to see the framing done myself...the plans you shared are a tease, I can't imagine how you feel after what happened!

Congrats again on getting "wood" haha

:LMAO:

And yea, I was pretty stoked when I saw trenching done, and then even more so when the slab was poured. But seeing the framing go up will be uber cool to watch. Hell, the whole rest of the process is going to be pretty damn exciting. I just hope it turns out as nice as it looks in my mind. haha

I bet it comes out looking better!

I know mine did, but I was 24 and it was my first house. However, considering you LOST your home, it will probably look like a castle to you and your family.

WTF is the MOTE?!? lol

Besides...the first time you use that lift you will be happier than a pig in pOOp!

Ed, I snapped this pic just for you. It shows the ground going to the main panel, but not to the cable box on the left. But, it looks like it would be easy enough to tie into.

That just what I thought, cable needs a ground wire and so does phone. Your house will look better if it's installed before the walls go up. I could go by and install it if you want me to and I'll put one in for cable and phone. It looks like I'll have to drill a hole in the 2x4. Let me know if you want me to do it.

Ed, there are quite a few "extra" things I want to do with wiring (cable, speakers, etc), that will happen later... after the electrical inspection is done, but before drywall goes on. We'll do it then. :thumb:

Thanks for the kind words.

It's been a real "adventure", that's for sure. But S197Forum.com and the Mustang community certainly came to the rescue in our time of need. It was simply amazing, and we'll never ever forget it. :hi:

If not, it should be dam close. :thumb:

You and Madonna should plan on spending an extra day in town either before or after the cruise. We could get a group together for a BBQ/party. And you know you have a place to stay!

after dealing with your ins co., how did you fair w/your mortgage co? Hurricane Ike victims here in Tx still can't get their money from their mortg cos. Ins Co's made their checks payable to the homeowner and mortg Co. the mortg Co's refusing to release them in order to effect repairs. Here in Tx the Atty Gen is just now starting to look at the possible fraud going on with various Banks. Lets see how long that takes. Good luck with your new const. Looks like it's going to be a real nice Home.

So far so good. The mortgage company released the first 1/3 draw with no hiccups.

Oh yeah, that's planned for sure! Probably before the cruise :thumb:
Cool!

What a difference one day makes.

At 8:00 this morning, there were still just several bundles of lumber on the site. By 5:00pm, this is what I saw….

YES!!!

Good thing its always sunny in Ca, you don't have a roof. I hope it doesn't get cold there because you have a bunch of holes in your walls, I guess its a CA thing so you can catch all those pleasant breezes.

Seriously always good to see progress.
