Biggest tire on rear 17's?

Here is a 295/45-17 M/T drag radial. It is on a 17x9" Earnhardt Killer wheel. These tires are 27.1" tall and fit incredibly well. Am going to get a 17x10 built for them this spring if I keep the car, but they work and look great on the 9"

Drag radials probaly arent very good for a daily driver are they? In a perfect world Id like to have a good street/everyday tire that grips really well. Does such a thing exist?

Drag radials wouldn't be my first choice for a true daily driver, but as far as I know that is the only tire available in a size that will give the look you are after.

17" tire sizes have pretty much fallen off the map now that manufacturers have a bigger market in 18-22" sizes.
