I already posted this on another forum too, but I wanted to spread my meet a bit farther.

Ok, so the blower motor in my '05 4.0 used to blow at every setting. One day it just stopped and now I can't get it to work past the 1st setting. I just replaced the blower motor resistor, to no avail. It still won't blow enough. I'm hoping that someone here can shed some light on my problem. Btw, I'm in South Carolina and it's closing in to the brutal summer heat already. I would love to be able to not melt, lol. I attached a pic of the part I replaced in case you all call it something else.

That it works in the first setting only indicates your ground connection is good, you have voltage to the motor, and that the motor relay is working. Since the resistor unit did not resolve the problem the next thing to do would be to verify that you have voltage signals at connection to the climate controller C294B pins 2,3,4. 2 and 3 will have lower voltages and 4 should read battery voltage. Do this with key on and heater fan commanded on with C294B disconnected. Last with everything off, place multimeter to read resistance or continuity and check pin 1 on the climate controller where C294B connects to pins 2,3,4 changing the selector each time. My guess is that your climate control selector switch is bad, or maybe with luck just the knob itself is broken and not turning the selector switch shaft. Good luck. The link above is the blower motor schem for the manual climate control system.
