Borla X vs O/r X

So Monday I'll be ordering a borla exhaust cat back with x pipe and hooking it up to my bbk shorty headers. But I've noticed everyone on here runs off road x pipes what's the difference? Effectiveness? Price? Just wanna know why everyone one runs OR n just making sure I'm not making a mistake ordering borla. I'm 20 so I can't afford to keep making mistakes.

Offroad means no catalytic converters. so you wont be able to pass emissions.

O/R X will be louder but you will experience trumpeting with an o/r midpipe and stingers.

If it's an x-pipe with hi-flows then technically it's illegal here in Cali, but who cares. When it comes time to smog, find a place that is "mod" friendly. Although the hi-flows will fail visual, it should pass the emissions.

If it's a high flow catted x pipe just run it and when inspection time comes swap the stock midpipe back in.

I have BBK shorties and catted x-pipe with the rear O2's on. I get no codes with this set up. There's no way that anyone can see on my car what kind of cats that I'm running from the engine bay and I don't think the mirror trick will work because of their position on the car. The only way that I can see them is when I'm under the car.

Nice Rob72. If yours isn't throwing any codes then I'll be running same as you with out any issues. Did your bbks come with a carb number or tag like a cai?

Dayum, I bought the H specifically to stay away from "raspy". I got the O/R H with STingers and all I get is bleeding eardrums and pissed off neighbors and wildlife when I wick the throttle. LOL!!! Thanks LnL!

NP, Pretty much every exhaust set up trumpets at least a little bit just some are worse than others.

Can't find a carb number for these parts on the website. BBK has been pretty good about returning my emails in the past when I had questions.

Well just making sure I pass visual? Someone told me that the headers needed a carb number for them to be ok? But I guess If you haven't had an issue I guess it's nit needed

Those high flow cats are a lot smaller than the stock ones. Also the rear O2's plug in behind the cats on the BBK x-pipe instead of in the cat like the stock ones. I think that help's with the rear O2 reading when running high flow cats.
