Here is a 2012 GT Chris tuned yesterday with the Boss manifold, JLT CAI, and BBR off road X pipe. I have posted the STD and SAE (not much difference with our air quality) We were very impressed with the outcome and owner is very happy.

I'm going to be installing a Boss intake on 2012 GT with a Parnelli Jones #13 of 15 cf Airaid CAI with GT500 over axles and axlebacks. I am just on the fence when it comes to the tune. I know they are all good but I am indecisive. Does anyone know who has had the most success with the Boss Intake tune? So far Im thinking Steeda, Lund, BBR or Bama. Thanks for your suggestions. I've posted on couple other boards for some good diversity hopefully.

Since you will hear pros and cons about any tuner depending who is posting in the thread the best advice I can give you is to talk to any tuner you are considering one on one. That will give you a preview of how your tuning expereince will proceed and help you gather the info you need to make an informed decision.
We installed, tested and developed tuning for the Boss intake back on our 2011 GT back when they were almost impossible to find in 2010.
Any of the tuners who support this site will do a good job for you. You just have to find ther one who will fit your criteria for a tuner and goals for your vehicle.

What is the point of this post? All you did was show a dyno sheet with some numbers on it. That's all you guys ever seem to do. Why don't you ever have track times for your own cars or your customer cars instead of meaningless dyno numbers? You've been called out for not going to the track multiple times. You've even been offered a free spot in a track rental and the excuses flowed. Seems like your "very impressed with the outcome" above, along with all of your other behavior means all you care about is useless numbers on a dyno sheet. Those are not results, they mean absolutely NOTHING.

I have had several Boss intake tunes. BBR (it was ok), Lund (ok but slower than BBR), and, CRT Performance ( Best tune). CRT took my data logs and tweaked cam timing to optimize the performance and also worked with me until the car drove how I wanted it to. The CRT tune is the quickest (at the track) and best driving tune I have had with the Boss intake.
BBR and Lund did not want to look at my logs to optimize the tune for my specific combo.

So you switched between the tunes at the track? Being same day testing with all three?

Truth. Numbers are worthless unless they backup real world testing, like track times.

I did that with the BBR tune vs the Lund tune. The BBR tune was faster by a full .2 but drove poorly. Very lurchy and sometimes died, but it ran fast. The Lund tune drove nice but like I said was .2 slower. Germanshepard was with me that day at Dragway 42. That was the last time I tried the Lund tune. I emailed both parties about data logging and neither said it was needed.

Then Germanshepard talked me into trying CRT Perf. We spent a lot of time with logs...I mean a lot. That tune drove fantastic....and .1 faster than the BBR tune. This was done on the same day at Tristate...again Germanshepard was with me that day.

I have absolutely no idea what each would dyno at but the CRT tune with logs was far superior to both. To me the time slips told the story. That is when they erned my business for all future tuning. I even drove 4 hours (2 separate times) to get the Vortech dyno tuned.

Also...I might add. I am not bashing any of the tuners, just stating the facts and my experience. I am very picky and wanted the car to act very well on the street and run the number at the track.

If those are your only mods you will probably be disappointed in the boss intake no matter who you get a tune from.

It's just a starting point but you know, gotta start somewhere. One of reason besides being sexy is I first got the boss intake is cause of the Parnelli Jones #13 of 15 Airaid intake and since I'm going from stock to boss then I shouldn't feel a loss in torque compared to if I already had a CAI with the stock manifold. Plus if I don't like it I can alway change my mind. thanks for the input heads up.

Brenspeed was spot on with my N/A tune. I had a Boss Mani, JLT CAI and a few other things. First tune was spot on and their customer service is top notch. I wish they were closer to me.

I agree if you do the CAI at the same time you won't notice the torque loss so bad. But IMO the boss intake is a not a good place to start, its a mod that can help if you have the right combo.
