No its smoke and spatter from the factory where the tip was welded on.

Ok, thanks. I'm thinking of picking up an extra set of these since one of the tips on my set is slightly bent. I need to try and sell my Roush AB first if possible.

Really glad this all worked out, my wife's car is going to go from bone stock as it sits now to having a boss intake, 85mm throttle body, jlt cai, o/r x pipe, roush mufflers and a tune most likely from aed.
