You trapped 118mph with a paper filter and a tune? Most people trap 115-116 tops with intake, tune, and 3.73's.

My clutch is just fine.. But, I'm not revving mine over the stock limiter. It's never stuck to the floor, nor did the pressure plate bolts back out. I had the tech loctite them in when he pulled the trans. Who is this anyway? Eric?

So, the car still isn't done.. I actually went to the dealership today, and was helping the tech put this thing back together. He was having trouble with it..

That is, until the dick head service manager walks up, and kicks me out of the shop area. Insurance this, and that.. blah blah. Whatever.. If I wasn't helping the guy, it would probably still be in pieces. I'm friends with the owner of the place, but, didn't want to make a big stink about it, so I just left.

Last I heard, they forgot to order the big hex bolt and cap that goes into the counter-shaft from the bell housing side.. So, it'll be at least till Wednesday. It's so ridiculous at this point, all I can do is laugh.
Why not just contact Ford and see if they will send an expert to help complete this repair properly?

I contacted customer service again today.. They pretty much told me that the technician has proper training to make this repair. I laughed, and told the lady that he didn't, and I had to help him put it back together yesterday. LOL!

Oh, also, they are beating around the bush about paying a car payment for me.. I doubt I'll see a penny from them. My car will be ready on Wednesday, according them, and that's that.

I'm disgusted with Ford, and I assured her that this would be the last new vehicle that I ever purchase from thier company. It blows me away that someone who buys a brand new 35K dollar vehicle, 3 months ago, gets put through this kind of crap. At this point, they've spent more money than it would have cost to just put a new trans in the car from day one, and they've lost repeat customer. Sad..

You think Ford is bad? Blow up a trans in a vette and see how long it sits. Same with a BMW, Audi, Lexus etc. A car is only as good as the people who are fixing them. Last time I had Chevy rebuild a trans under warranty they forgot to put a blocker ring in, car ground so bad going into 3rd you couldnt believe it - and they gave me the car back like that after test driving it and having there over a month. I took it home, pulled the trans and found the blocker was missing, went back to the dealer, tech said 'oh yea, here it is, bring it back in and we'll fix you right up.' I just went ahead and rebuilt the trans myself. I can see people making mistakes but how can not tell that the car had no syncro in 3rd gear after driving it.

I wouldnt be too pissed at Ford, IMO the dealer is jacking you around too. No matter what you tell customer service they will not say anything bad about the dealer no matter what.

I went back and looked at the date.. Tomorrow makes 30 days.

My wife and I will discuss this with our attorney if it's not finished by tomorrow evening.

The proper training probably involves about a 1.5 hour lecture with the help of MS Powerpoint. :thumb:

What are you going to do, the car was modded so i didnt bitch about it. At least they gave me the rest of the parts they forgot to put in including a couple gears the syncro keys chipped up when they fell out.

I laugh about it now but I was pretty pissed at the time, I should have just did it myself to begin with but they offered to fix it.

Did it break from something that you did? I guess if it was something I did, I couldn't be too mad about it.

lol.. the tech is cool.. He's a young guy. He asked me if he could come work with with me that same day (I own a performance shop). I really can't be upset with him.. He's doing what he's told to do.

It was just the usual t-56 bent shift fork and chewed uo 3rd gear syncro teeth on an LS1 f-body. The car had headers, heads, cam, 12 bolt, stout clutch etc, I had it in because one of the cooling fans was noisy (car only had 6000 miles on it) and I mentioned it to the service manager and they said they would fix it. They were trying to be cool about it and i didnt have the pullers to take apart a T-56 at the time so I let them have at it.

That was nothing compared to another dealer putting one of my vettes on the rack wrong and breaking the rocker panels. All they had to do was replace a window motor, now that one I got mad about.

Well that's a little different.. ;) Pretty cool of them to take care of it for you, even if it took a while. Stupid of them to forget the damn blocker ring though!

when did u get a shop? where is it? still doing nissan ??

Monica and I bought a house out in Gray. I've been working from home for the last 5 years (since I lost my lease after Katrina). We're talking about building another shop though.. Nothing big.. probably 2500-3K square ft. We have been looking at property for a few months now.

Still doing Nissan (and Ford).. Just finished a V6 swap with a turbo setup..

425whp/400wtq at 7.5psi. The car weighs 2900lbs..
