Yeah I think I'm gonna give the matte black a shot.... I've also been looking at a set of GT4s like you've got, but money is a little tight at the moment.

I'm gonna be doing the paint work on mine.

I was going to, but I would lose my ass on the trade in plus the cost of the car, and its not really a payment that I want to take on right now. So instead of downgrading to something less pricey I'm just gonna keep the car.

Car goes under the knife this weekend for the second time.... Hopefully I can get all the motor issues worked out and it will be running smoothly sometime this weekend.

Installed the new FRPP CAI, GT500 rear shocks and front struts with GT500 strut mounts along with FRPP K-springs, also installed magnaflow mufflers. Everything seems to fit good, rear springs still need to settle.

STill waiting on a few more parts.

On a bad note, I left to pick up some new exhaust clamps for the magnaflows and told my buddy to install the wheel spacers for the rear wheels. I come back and he says that be can't get the nuts to thread on. I'm thinking WTF, is he retarded. I look down and he had sawzaw'd the studs because the stuck out past the wheel spacers...... And no the lugs nor the wheel spacer bolts thread on. I'm pretty pissed about it but now I need a fix. Is there a way to replace the studs? Haven't messed with them before so I'm not all the familiar with it.

Go to a good tool store and get a "die" or thread chaser. It will thread on and clean the threads.whenever cutting bolts or studs thread a nut on first after you cut unthread the nut and it will "chase" the threads.
Sometimes you can use a small triangle file to clean the threads enough to get the thread started as well.

Bring a lug nut with you so they can match the thread. They should, you know like a tap and die kit. die looks like a nut but will cut /clean threads. Before you spend money just try and file the end where he cut ,you should be able to feel a little burr or see a crushed thread there. If you kind of round that out the lug should thread you just have to get past that first thread.

Ok. I will look into it in the morning. I need to find some resolution because I'm gonna have to use the wheel spacers now that he slashed my studs. Im gonna have to cut the other side as well.

Check out the Pics in this Post and I show where the Wheel Studs can be (Removed).

Here are the Pics from that Post that you need to really look at.

You Do-Not have to remove the Axles to remove the Wheel Studs and Replace them.

This Pic shows the Access Hole for Changing the Axle Studs.

Thanks for the post Tiger, where do you buy the new studs, and do you just punch them out and replace?

here is an out line of the steps to follow...
1) jack up and secure the car with jack stands
2) remove wheel
3) pull off the brake caliper/drum
4) pull off brake caliber holder (not for drum brakes)
5) pull off the rotor (not for drum brakes)
6) take your hammer and knock out the old/broken stud (yes its that easy)
7) insert the new wheel stud in to the hole
8 ) put the two fender washers on the stud
9) VERY IMPORTANT, put the acorn nut on backwards (flat side toward washers)
10) tighten the acorn nut until the new stud if FULLY pulled into position

Correct, they simply took a solid pipe and hit them and they came out through the access hole I showed in the Pics.
It did not take them anytime to Change out the Stock Studs to the Moser Studs.

The Ford Dealer for the Stock Studs or a Parts Supply store.

Mine are Moser Studs to fit the Moser Axles I have.

Ok. Thanks for all the info tiger. Im gonna try cleaning the threads up first in the morning and mounting the wheel spacers. I actually have the same wheel spacers that you used. If that doesn't work then I will buy replacement studs and replace them.
