Car MAF Problem ? kenne Bell

A friend of mine had an accident on the front passenger side. and after it was fixed they had a hard time starting the car..

So we changed few fuses, relays and the Black box on passenger foot.

The car started fine but once you hit the throttle it just bogs down and dies. So we changed the MAF sensor and still its the same problem, but if you disconnect the MAF sensor connection it idles and you can rev it fine.

These are the trouble codes that appear

p0100 => Mass or Volume airflow
p0104 => Mass or Volume airflow intermittent
p0135 => 02 sensor heater circuit ( we changed the 02 sensors but still appears)
p2106 => Throttle actuator control system forced limited power
p1000 => the godamn code


The cars mods are

kennebell stage 2 supercharger kit
Ratchet street Fighter shifter

Thats it.

Please let me know what could be the problem, we inspected almost every bit of wire.. nothing seems to be cut.

- P1000 is non important as long as you do not have pass emissions, if you rear sensors or other related stuff is off/disable/wrong it will be there forever, this won't trigger a CEL.
- limp mode (throttle actuator...) can be induced by airflow measuring problems.
- MAF and heaters share same power feed so a fuse/wiring problem looks to be pretty much the culprit.

could the maf housing have a small hair line crack in it? I know mine did on my 04 Mach 1 and i pretty much had the same codes. might want to check that out. I switched to a new MAF and all codes were gone.

Yeah sounds like a fuse/relay feeding power to all those systems.

If you need a new maf/housing for the KB, I have one from my KB kit that I didn't use.

I would pull the entire wire for the MAF and either replace it or rewire it. It's very possible the wire was smashed momentarily during the crash.

Once I had a lower IC tube that had partially popped off causing un metered air to enter the system. I could remove the wire going to the MAF and the car would idle and partially run. For the life of me I could not find the problem for a while but eventually I found where the pipe had become detached.

Have you checked for unmetered air?

Check to see if the throttle blades are moving when key is on and you mash pedal .I agree with above may be bad wiring .

Check the wiring on the MAF. The P2106 is also caused by the MAF not working right. Fix that and P2106 should be taken care of as well. I literally just fixed those codes tonight after taking it to a dealer. Turned out that when I installed my kenne bell I had 2 wires switched around. Also I heard pinched, faulty MAF wiring will cause the MAF not to function so look into that. If the wiring is good then my second guess is the MAF itself, seeing as the MAF is next to the passenger side headlight where the damage happened, because I've been told they are very fragile and even dropping them can damage it.
