Caster Camber Plates

Well, after making the mistake of lowering my car on H&R supersports with brand new tires, and not spending the money the first time the proper equipment to adjust the camber, I just bought 4 new tires, and Koni yellow shocks, who makes a decent camber plate that gets the job done. What are you guys running.

I did on my old 2v. It catostrophically failed at the weld and cost me a $600 hood.

Avoid their crap.


J&M makes quality plates at a good price.

MM CC plates are great and a decent price. the Vorshlag's look like an awesome set.

I have the H&R race springs with the Konis and use the MM plates. They have a good range of adjustment. No complaints here.

Maximum Motorsports, Ground Control and Vorshlag. They are all very capable ones. Ground control here, but attached to my coilovers. I like them, they will work out very nicely for what I need them for (more negative camber ).

What was your Toe set to when you wore out your tires? If you didn't set that, THAT was your problem, not camber... How do I know? Because I ran at -1.7º of camber and zero toe all last year on a set of 200 treadwear Dunlop Star Specs and still had OUTSIDE tire wear. Camber kills tires with large amounts of toe going in either direction (in or out) but with neutral (zero) toe it is generally mild enough that a little more enthusiastic corner carving can solve a lot of problems.

PS: Has anyone else noticed a lot of "suspension" related posts with not much on corner carving? It seems to me the OP is interested in removing camber, which is counter productive for corner carving...

As mentioned, we at Vorshlag make S197 camber-caster plates to fit anything.



We use a very strong spherical bearing, a very unique form of upper spring perch (with integral, sealed, double-row radial bearing), and a modular system to work with various strut stem profiles and spring perches.



Adjusting camber takes seconds per side - raise the wheel off the ground, loosen the four M8 top nuts at the strut tower, slide the wheel in or out, tighten, done.

I need to get some. My fear is that most shops might not know how to properly adjust them. I was thinking of J&M but wasn't sure how rough it would be compared to the non-adjustable GT500 strut mount.

I went with the Vorshlag plates because of the high quality radial bearing. The MM use the factory radial bearing from your stock mount and GC plates do as well (At least that is what they told me when I called). Some folk say the Vorshlag are more noisy but they are not. I've had them in for two track days and a few autocross events and they are awesome. More expensive but worth it for quality and customer service you will get!

Wish I could've afforded the Vorshlag plates, they really are a work of art. Just installed MM plates for the time being though, might upgrade later this summer or next winter for next season

Anyone know how the GC coil over compare to the Bilstein offering from Vorshlag?
