Thats going to fly as they yanked the back end and replaced the IRS and put in a Dana rear. Looks pretty cool moving too; http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=120457

Dodge finally did it the challenger looks sweet and goes pretty good. IMO it looks way better than the new camaro(it doesn't have the retro look like the stang and challenger).

Hey thats a sweet lookin car of yours, I like the hood and front valance/spoiler:thumb:

What are you running with the new clutch and driveshaft?

I went with the spec II and spec aluminum flywheel, and a steeda aluminum ds(if I'd known about this site I probably would have done different)

This friday I get to finally try it all out, really hopin to see 12's (but they say u can hope in one hand and shit in the other and you know which one will fill up faster)

Looking at your mods I think the DS will push you close. I run 13.07 last week on the stock DS and Ive heard a 1-2/10ths can be attributed to losing it for a LW shaft. Good luck mate!

+1 :thumb:

I have to admit that Mopar got it right this time. It definitely has an old school flavor. And it can run too.

Man if I was rich I would buy that car just to have it sitting in my garage so I could look at it everyday. Reminds me of the old Sox and Martin cars. I like it!

3 things really bug me about the car

1) The WEIGHT!!! My assumption is that it will be no corner carver.

2) Why no stick or limited slip till next year?

3) The interior is totally blah.

But I give them credit for making the car.

Overall it looks great. Seems like they were aiming for a slightly more Mature crowd or something. The mustang screams youth and fun. The challenger is more not speaking that so far to me.

I read the motortrend comparison between the GT500 and the Challenger SRT8. The Challenger was praised for it's ride and handling, but the GT 500 was criticized for its handling. I don't remember what exactly was written; however, the GT 500 had better lateral grip and did the figure 8 test (I guess some new handling test) faster than the Challenger. Needless to say the Challegner was picked the winner. I think the reason being is the Challenger is the flavor of the month.

No doubt I'll get flamed for this, but if I had the choice of just one or the other, I'd take the Challenger (especially that race version above). Personally, I think Ford took a step backward in the styling department with the GT500 compared to the Mustang GT.

Oh shit. I hate Dodge so bad it's not even funny. Hating Dodge is like part of my personality...it's what people know me by. Their quality is total crap. This Challenger is a new dog on the yard so we'll have to scope it out. I've got no beef with GM, some of my buddies I cruise with are GM guys, I'm fine with that...but Dodge...I just can't go that.

Stock on stcok, I say the S197 Mustang takes it. So the Challenger comes with 400hp from the factory. Yeah, but it weighs in at a whopping 4000 pounds. Not to mention Dodge's reputation on parts: they wear out fast and cost limbs to replace.

The Mustang is a legend. It's the king of American muscle. It always has been, it always will be...until 2020 when all production vehicles will be required to meet 35 MPG or better. Then...well I'll buy a 2019 Mustang and treasure it until the day I die.

The Camaro, the Firebird/Trans AM, the Challenger...they've all faded away over the years. Mustang has been takin' names since '64 1/2. Hell, we've ran out of ink, we're just kickin' ass now.
