Has anyone on here put a CHE K-member brace with TQ limiters on their car with Long tube headers? I have a BMR K-member (I already know I need to cut part of the CHE brace) and Bassani Long Tube headers. The problem I'm running into is that on the drivers side one of the tubes is in the way of where the TQ limiter needs to go. If anyone has pics of their CHE brace with TQ limiters and long tube headers I would like to see them. I'm trying to get an idea of how I'm going to work around this.

Its an easy install with stock headers and you will love the difference it makes. I beleive i have seen a picture of the limiter running between the tubes, but i would not chance those nice bassanis with that. The brace has three holes for possible placement about one inch apart. Is the header tube in the way of all three?

I have that exact setup with brm k-member, che brace, tq limiters, and lt headers i'll see if I have a pic. It was easy to make work.

Edit: I got it to work by cutting (I can't remember if it was 3/4" or 1 inch) off the bars of the che brace that the a-arm bolts go through. Start with 3/4" and if it needs more then you can always take more off. I used a hacksaw but whatever gets the job done.

Here's a pic. It wasn't even close to the headers at all. The only clearance issue I had was with the oil drain plug. The brace sits so close to the back of the oil pan that I had to cut the end tib of drain plug off plus 1.5 of the threads. I did it by ordering another drain plug from the ford dealership, modifiying that one, then swapping them quickly.

I have to make sure that those 3 holes don't have to get cut off to fit the brace.

That picture helps. What type of LT headers are those? Mine has a tube that runs much closer to the transmission. I am also running a t56 transmission also but I do not think that the bell housing is much different from stock.

Oh no you don't do anything to the three holes.

I have stainlessworks lt headers. I still think with other brands that come close you can just use one of the other holes when mounting for more clearance.

Here's a better pic I forgot I made that shows how to modify the che brace so it fits. (when you mock it up you will see exactly what the problem is as the tq limiters wont reach the bellhousing mounting holes.)

Also if you're going to mod the drain plug remember to do that BEFORE you put the che brace etc in place haha. I forgot and had to take it off again to get the stock plug out. HAHA

Thanks a lot. I was looking at those same holes to maybe put the tq limiters into. So you only had to cut the bolt hole down. That part looks easy.

I have no idea with out seeing how the tubing is run for the Hellion.
