Hey guys. Ever since I got my car I've noticed when at operating temps if I am outside the car I can hear what sounds like a bad tensioner pulley or something. More noticeable on the passenger side too. Over a year ago I asked the dealer about it, they changed the belt (which did nothing) and said it was "normal". Figured since it has been awhile I would ask if anyone knows what this is, and maybe if there is a solution?

Mines a bit noisy. Sounds like a squeaky idler. Brand new 2014. I dont notice it as much with the exhaust on there now.

Yours worse when engines at operating temp, and more noticeable on passenger side? My two buddies cars make the same noise. A '12 and a '14. Guessing to be told it's "normal".

My 14 GT has done that since the day I bought it. I have not brought it to the dealer for it and am just going to wait and see if it gets worse. It seems to be the same now as it did back then.

It's starting to look like this is very common...or as Ford says a "normal operating characteristic".

Well, just got the car back from the dealer. They said it is "normal". The tech said it is an exhaust "ping" (which did come up in a quick Google search on the same thing) and they even pulled in a new '14 and let it warm up, same sound.

Funny thing is you commented how you do not hear it as much since you did your ORP. The tech said he said he recently put headers/ORP on his '12 GT and it stopped the noise. My wife thinks I was nuts taking it to the dealer as she really can't even hear the noise when it makes it, and said I am to anal.:roflmao:

Sometimes you can drown a noise out for months, years. The second you hear by chance, you will always hear it like a damn sub woofer in your ear until it is fixed lol.

Have you checked the AC Pulley? On my old mercedes the supercharger clutch chirped like crazy and it would drive my wife nuts.
