07 GT , bolt ons, tuned. Maybe 350 hp at wheels, maybe. Weekend, summer driven for fun.

Pretty sure my tob is on its way out. When I'm stopped at a light in neutral, I hear a tiny bit of chatter, when I apply the clutch it goes away.

I'm going after the exedy 400, and the throw out bearing from Rock auto, (dormant not sure).

My question is, how relevant is to match flywheel brands to clutch brands? I know I want one, I'm not sure which way to go. I see over at american muscle they mention it is important on several different posts they make. I don't get it as to why.

If not, any particular flywheel the best bang? I'm assuming 6bolt and 10 spline.

Thanks in advance. For your responses.

Yes 6 bolt and 10 spline
Do you happen to have cams?
If so that can cause a chattering at idle

I suggest sticking with same/same and not mix matching clutches and flywheel. I had zero luck doing that with my first clutch upgrade. I then went all Exedy after further research. I have had fantastic success with the Mach 500 series in two different cars. Most Exedy kits also come with the slave cylinder (TOB is an old school term) unlike others...if you purchase the right kit.

You can't beat Exedy's light weight steel flywheel either. Falls in between a steel and an all out aluminum.

Yup, I've got hot rod cams, I never thought of them causing the slight chatter.

My clutch feels good for being stock with lots of miles on it.

I'll stick with exedy, there are priced pretty reasonable .
