If you just replaced it with a stock alternator it's going to go out again. Trust me!!!!! Just buy the one from PA Performance and you'll be good forever. I went through 3 or 4 stock ones maybe 5 before I found out about the upgrade PA Performance has.
this is TRUE and THE only advice !!

I had the exact same issue the last few days. After replacing the sensor and pigtail, I was ready to pull my hair out and throw things! I did some searching on this forum and it saved me soooo much time and money it's unbelievable! I replaced the alternator today and I'm good to go. Thanks for everyone taking the time to post and help out.

It does make sense..perfect sense. Although, I think Ford could have done a better job diagnosing the issue.
The voltage dropping too much results in degrading operation of various circuits, the most noticeable is the VCT, and hence the sensor malfunction codes. It doesn't take that much of a drop in DC, to around 12.5-12.8 volts, for the codes to get thrown. Normally the alternator is putting out roughly 14v dc.

If you're car is running bad w/o codes, then you likely have fouled plugs, a dirty maf, or dirty throttle body.

Dropped it off at the ford dealer wednesday

Ok so you answered the who.

Did they follow the repair procedure in the TSB? Don't just assume they did. Ask them!! Unfortunately some dealer (not all) are clueless.

Yes. I made them very aware of what i was talking about as far as the TSB. Now not only did i reinstall it im throwing codes for P2111 and P2104. now i think im leaning towards throttle body replacement. Opinions?? also the starter now wont engage possibly due to the ecu not allowing it ?
